Fantastic. So powerful yet elegant. Big red fruit gollows a spicy and floral nose. Tannin structure reminds you this is serious, but doesnt get in the way either. Benefits from air time too.

Two years and a couple months after the prior, this wine remains extremely quaff-worthy, balanced and picks up a serious smoothness factor. There's not a flaw nor out of place element, but then does it reach far enough? Answer: yes, of course it does. It's a lower-range offering that does everything you could ask of it. What I don't know is how other vintages of the Reverdon designation compares to this.

Last of 18 bottles of this tremendous '17 Beaujolais. Wish I had 18 more, and I can't think of much higher praise than that. Still just as fresh, vibrant, and forward-fruited as it was on the first bottle. Thivin rules.

Last of my 2017, I love 2018 too but this wine is such a good value and excellent quality. Very much at it apex, soft, full and supple, it might go a few more years but it is prime now and the 18's are great too.

Dark center, red rim with very modest signs of age. Stones, black cherries, blackberries, touch of bubblegum, nice sweetness. Smooth and rounded, wet stone, rich ripe berries, good acidity, great fruit, cherries and blueberries, good finish. Excellent Brouilly from Thivin as usual, very good now but has 3+ years more to go.

Yep, still awesome. The fruit leans dark, towards black cherry, but remains just so fresh nonetheless. Thivin kills it pretty much all the time and this is no exception. Prices have gone up, even if it is still a great value, so when I see this wine or the CdB at a good price I buy a lot. This should drink well for several years.

Dark with brooding aromatics. Some nice reduction here and a touch of tannin. Alcohol is a bit high. Great now but I'm waiting a few years for the rest.

Unadorned Gamay but so delicious, in its prime. Graceful yet full bodied and supple, I see no reason to wait tp consume the rest in my cellar. Why have an insipid Pinot when this is around. Love it.

This Beaujolais is like a neon light in the dark. Brilliant ruby color with long legs. Nose shows lots of tart red cherry, cranberry and raspberry. The palate adds baking spices and lots of minerality. lean mouthfeel and sharp acidity. Not a lot of body--no Morgon here--but enjoyable all the same.

D*mn that's good Beaujolais. Reminds me so much of the 2014 Thivin CdB. Actually I ordered the '14 of this wine, but the '17 was delivered. That's fine because this is awesome. Should have bought more than six. Thivin rules.

Brilliant medium ruby, asphalt, raspberry, plum, and cherry on the nose, fruit driven palate with loads of cherry, spice and tangy acidity, medium length finish with more cherry, hints of earth, spice, and mineral streaks

I wouldn't describe this wine as crunchy, but a lot of the notes I've read here match my own. This is loaded with fresh, warm, almost Aussie Shiraz-like fruit, layered atop a very well balanced, unbelievably gulp-able, medium-bodied Beaujolais scaffolding. The fruit, and to a lesser extent tar and spice, flavors here are incredibly intense with a carefree effulgence. My palate has been trained to expect a burn on the back of throat after tasting wines of this fruity intensity, but this denies that expectation. I don't detect much mineral nor tannins in this superb early drinker. I don't know what time will bring for this one. Often, wines with great fruit intensity that exercise an equal abundance of balance can outlive/outshine more structured, less friendly in their youth bottles. This is really easy to enjoy, though not as serious as some Cru Beaujolais here at the outset.

Dark red. Intense earthy dark berry fruit, warm soil, black cherry and mulled spice nose. Rich slightly hot black fruit and berry flavours and an incredible dry but balanced finish that goes on for at least a half minute.
Never had Gamay like this.

Popped and poured and served slightly chilled. This is exactly what I look for in cru bojo. Bright, fresh fruit flavors with good acidity and just a bit of tannin. This wine is mostly black and red cherries with some floral perfume notes and a bit of grape candy. Perfect bbq wine.

I liked this very much, better than the Cote du Brouilly. This wine is both delicious and interesting. I was impressed by the earthy complexity (plenty of potting soil) and the cinnamon-like aromas (probably from whole cluster fermentation).

Dark fruits and plum with lots of stony minerality and cayenne pepper-like spice. Juicy, but with a good, long acidic finish. Delicious for $22 and excellent match with BLT chicken with Lime Mayo. I now know where to turn for $20 red wines.

Straight up delicious here: red fruit with earthy, rocky undertones on the nose. Palate is brimming with ripe, yet fresh and tangy red fruit, raspberries. Light bodied, balanced and a cheeky mineral tingle on the finish. This has come together very well since last autumn and 2017 is showing a ripeness with balance that is full of promise. Enjoy!

Domaine tasting, brief note. East facing slope opposite the Château, pink granite. Punchy purple fruit, very gamay. Very floral, with that granite perfume note. Very fresh, sappy red fruit on the palate. No oak here, aged in concrete only to keep the fruit.

Dark strawberry, red cherry, stone, char siu pork, mint and violets. Rightfully concentrated and pure, with a long, saline finish. There’s polish and slight velvet, with a firm concentration. I can’t help but to recognize a continuum of finesse. Drink now - 2026.

Opened and let finished on sandy three. The note is from the third day... Unctuous, yet finely tuned, there’s a lot of ripe strawberries on the palate, with stone. The nose shows that as well, with garrigue, spearmint, lemon thyme, mineral and elderberry. The palate is almost as complex, and a well-concentrated vin, from a stunning terroir. This beckons the cellar and is so latent upon opening, that it will have no problem aging. Drink 2022 - 2032.

Deep, dark, purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, raspberries & cherries with overtones of floral note of violets & earthy/dusty notes, spices, cocoa, herbs & hints of minerals. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of cranberries, pomegranates & strawberries with citrus notes, spices, earthy, herb & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the fruit & structure for continued development with an additional year or two of further aging.

Taste New Wines, Part 2 (San Diego Wine Co.): From vines ave 45 yrs of age grown in the pink granite & sand of the "Reverdon sector of Mont Brouilly, an area known for producing wines of great finesse. Eastern sun exposure on a moderate slope, facing Mont Brouilly; Whole cluster fermentation during 8 days, raised in concrete tank for 8 mos;"
N: Blk rasps, smoke, minerals with MINIMAL "bubblegum"
P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt offset by an astringent pucker which fairly seamlessly morphs into a LONG, balanced, VERY slightly tangy finish with a surprisingly pleasant BITTER/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. VERY well made for now with food, & likely to hold through '22. My EXC-/EXC, which may very well be conservative. 93 pts WA. Earthy, red fruits, floral, violet touches on nose, maybe even a hint of pepper. Tart red fruits, pomegranate/cranberry on the palate, lots of acidity, only faint line of tannin. May not have the depth of the best Bojo but thie Thivin delivers plenty of sappy, mouthwatering refreshment
