Pale straw gold. Nose of grapefruit, grass, lime, white gravel, alpine flowers. Layers of flinty stone, white pear, grapefruit, and semi-tart lemon on the incisive palate. Brisk acidity and tensile spine. Long finish of stony white fruit and crisp, tart citrus. Continues to evolve beautifully.

This is just about everything I want in a Sancerre. Smooth rocks, very bright acidic tang, lovely fruit flavors and hints of flint and matchstick. The body and texture just feels classy. Gives my Boulays a serious run for the money.

Light to medium gold color. Blooming nose of hyacinth, grapefruit, lime, grass, and cool white stone. Layers of mouth-watering lemon and grapefruit joined by steel and stone on the incisive palate. Brisk acidity and aristocratic spine. Lengthy finish of citrus and flinty rock. A superb pairing with garlic prawns over pasta.

I am coming to the conclusion that either I just don't like some of the very 'best' Sancerre wines that are made, or I am drinking them too young. Just not sure it's my thing. Never really 'got' this wine, kind of like some other super-famous producers' renditions (Vatan, F. Cotat, etc.). Anyone else feel the same, or is it just me?
It took a couple hours of air before I felt the wine was showing its best. Light straw color, clear and sound with a bright shine. The nose is surprisingly shy, light-intensity citrus and lanolin. Bigger bodied and rather voluptuous mouthfeel for such an energetic and acidic palate, along with delightfully tasty fruit flavors. This also has fantastic length and persistence with a very long finish. Top-notch. 5+10+18+9= 92

Served moderately chilled. Pale white gold color. Nose of grassy citrus, stone, white pear, and alpine flowers. Layers of delicate, etched grapefruit and lemon/lime elements arching over a steely spine of white stone and refreshing acidity. Long, persistent finish of white pear and grapefruit laden with flint and satisfying grip. Enough anchored elegance to make one pause.

Light hay in color, just the lightest breezy grass note on the nose, medium rich, beautifully balanced with excellent acidity, some nice umami, wonderful slowly fading finish. Blind I’m not sure I would peg this as Sauvignon Blanc, but it’s delicious.

Served chilled to accompany shrimp scampi over orzo. Pale white gold color. Nose of schist, wild grass, alpine flowers, tart citrus, and a hint of petrol. Incisive layers of steely white grapefruit, lemon-lime, stone, and flinty grip. Quenching acidity and anchoring spine. Long finish of coursing tart white fruit centered by rock. Excellent.
Purchased at the winery and paired with roast chicken several days later. Pale white gold hue. Nose of schist, grapefruit, mown grass, white flowers. Brimming with tart lemon-lime and grapefruit on the palate accompanied by white stone and discernible tingly spine. Harmonious smooth finish of pure citrus fruit and flint. Lovely.

PnP with arctic char. Very young. Needs at least a couple years. Possible upscore later. Mid body, mid+ acid, 13%.
