An incredible Côtes-du-Rhône made in the whole-cluster fashion…but you kind of expect that from Clape. Already drinking very well with a short decant. Very hard to stop drinking.

Very ripe and primary syrah. Tons of blackberry, a little savoriness, but really a monolith. I don't often say I drank a wine too young but this one is begging for more time in the bottle. Very tasty, nonetheless.

This is a lighter CdR than the 2015 and 2016. Cool red fruits, black olive, black cherry, dark plum, a little white pepper, red liqorice. Medium bodied, medium + tannin. Smooth, velvety mouth feel. Excellent.

A 2017 vintage opened in January 2020 - way, way, way too young. Wanted to try Clape when young. Knowing what these wines taste like with age, this bottle didn’t show that well in this stage of development. Therefore a little warning to all of those who is eager to try the wines young - don’t open!!! Wait for them to mature. Almost certain I would add 1 point to the score, which in this case will be 3,6... A lighter version of the Cornas but with the same flavor profile - also quite muted and closed for now

Fersk og rå nese med mørk og blå bærfrukt, lyng, urter. Fyldig men tilbakeholden i munn. Høy fruktmodning, men helt tørr, og ingenting overdrevet. Holder seg akkurat innenfor, og er litt mer tilkneppet enn ‘16. Frisk og fin, men trenger tid.

Not as saturated as the Vin des Amis. More floral fragrance, though, and weightier, more sappy feel. Round finishing tannin. Substantial Côtes du Rhône that could use a few years in bottle.

First try with Clape, and this was beyond expectations. Best CDR I have ever had. Must try more from this producer. Highly recommended

Very good, well balanced. I loved the floral nose. Smoky and rich with barbecued ribs.

Either this is way too young, closed down or heavily overpriced...

Black purple- charcoal, cocoa, espresso, soil and earth notes dominate the senses in this beaute.

Beautiful Syrah nose but very tight palate. Needs 4-5 years. But very classic and respectful to Clape CdR. A lighter vintage though.

A real purity of fruit here. Blueberry, black pepper, and notes of graphite/chocolate.
Medium + acid & tannin, but the tannin is ripe and sleek. Acid is beautiful.
An incredible mix of fruit forward CdR and structured AOC Northern Rhône. This will also age well, but is already very enjoyable.
