Open at the end of January and was unable to finish the bottle before a departure south for a month. Light yellow with lemony notes, very youthful and tight. Pumped bottle full of Private Preserve, put in the fridge and re-opened 1st week on March. And to my surprise the wine had matured perfectly. Moderate yellow in colour, notes of peach, lemon and yellow apple, just the right acidity to carry the surprisingly viscous body to a long finish. Performing way above village wine.

375ml bottle over Christmas Eve lunch at Flutes. Drank in Riedel sommelier glass. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of white chalk puffs, citrus lemon and rind, some wood shavings. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of green rind, citrus lemon, green melon, white chalk minerals, some bits of salty butter with more air. Medium+ finish. Good quality. Nice Meursault village. Some upside with more age.

Muted nose and flavours. Paled in comparison to the €9 Chardonnay/Viognier blend served beside it to demonstrate the elegance of good Burgundy. This must surely have been a bad bottle. Painful.

From 375mL. 13% alcohol. Light golden; lovely aromatics with still some sulfur, but plenty of underlying breadth, citrus oils, melon; full bodied, deep mouthfeel but remarkable medium-plus acidity which provides freshness throughout, citrus zest; finish is medium length. Lovely Meursault but also with remarkable energy and verve, and I've consumed both my halves young without regret. 90-91

Double decanted - it mitigates the initially rather overt oak. Attractive hint of matchstick on the nose, flowers, salty wood, lemon curd, mealy depth; the palate has freshness and minerality, there is tension between the various elements, the oak provides lots of salty power, but on the mid palate the fruit is strangely lacking; the finish displays good resonance and length but it is dominated by the oak. Undoubtable Meursault character, and a wine with real oomph, but what it lacks is flowing finesse and harmony. It feels rather souped up.

Næsen domineret af fad, med frisk abrikos, citroncreme, koldt smør og lidt røg. Fadet er også til stede i munden, men mere citronpræget. Let grøntsag og flint. Laaang eftersmag hvor faddet i højere grad titter frem. Super vin!

From 375. Golden-green; medium aromatics, white fruits, cream, slight matchstick, melon; palate has full body but from the moment it touches the palate has freshness and acidity, becomes just a touch more creamy through the midpalate, citrus zest; medium length that fades towards the end. This is a fresh, elegant Meursault, definitely would guess better than village quality if tasted blind, maybe held back a bit by the length on the finish. 90-91

Pale yellow colour. Oak definitely overwhelms the nose at first but that subsides with a little air. Eventually notes of melon, minerality, and citrus become evident in the bouquet. Pleasant and medium bodied on the palate, not a juggernaut by any means. Long finish, good acidity. Approachable now.

really good... Tiff didn't like it as much as the '17 Wm. Fevre Bougros Cote de Bougerots, but I thought quite nice... just a tiny little chemical thing going on or I would have given it a 92... wonder if that will 'age off'

Light straw yellow colour. Smoke, flint, ripe lemons, popcorn and honey on the nose. Taste of ripe lemon, peach, pear, honey, stone, lemon curd, toast, butter and salty minerals. Long and fantastically dry finish with a broad palate of peach, honey, minerals and buttery toast. A great Meursalt! Goes well with fish or shellfish.

Notes of cheese, leeks, a savory spice, leeks (?), red apple and pear. Medium(+) body and it feels fuller on the palate with strong palate intensity, but the wine still feels well focused with high-acid providing nice balance. Very good -- and a wine I'd love to revisit.

Obviously very young, primary and oaky now. Not much color, but a quite interesting nose of smoke, grape and green apples. Well balanced taste and long after taste. Developed significantly in the glass. Gave me a great experience over several days.

Blind horizontal tasting of 14 Meursault village 2017 and 1 Chassagne village 2017 as a joker: Blind. Seemed closed initially with some reductive elements but then they blew off. Needed some time to hit its strides but really a beautiful wine. Seemed a little young and can go the distance.

This is evolving nicely. Oak better integrated now. Not a very complicated wine but just such a pleasure to drink.
