Tasted vis-a-vis the Rostaing, this is the more classic Condrieu-wine - and superior IMHO. On day 1 quite exotic, tell-tall mango, confit d'orange, melon, citrus etc., a bit more calm on day, speaks of potential, I think. Will wait a couple of years before trying the next one. #JR&Co.

Pop and pour. About 3 years since my last btl. Hmm. This hasn't aged into something as compelling as the 15 at a comparable stage. On the nose: soft florals, tangerine, citrus leaf, mint and some alcohol notes. On the palate: good acidity, ripe tangerine, mint, white pepper and herbs. It has been a while since I've had a condrieu that has moved me...

This has calmed down, the fruit is round and smooth in green and white nuances combined with fennel, spices and soil marks. Wide and deep, this is wonderful Condrieu, mid-way through I think. No hurry to drink up.

Classic exotic and pear, good acidity. lacking lift and depth. Medium finish, hints of complexity. Think it would have been better when younger. I have come to realise that all but the very best Condrieu are best drunk young, i.e. within the first 3 to 4 years.

Light yellow. Nose is rich and generous, with deep floral and somewhat mineral notes, as well as peaches, apricots, melon, some violets and a touch of nutmeg. Mouthfeel is round, rich, full bodied, floral, somewhat mineral with moderate acidity and notes of peaches, apricots, melon, some violets and a touch of nutmeg on the very long finish.
This is a bold and full bodied wine, yet still elegant, fresh and vibrant. It's decadent and flamboyant, but very well balanced. This is just delicious!

Delicious wine...missed it when the last drop was drunk. It's got some melon-like plumpness and saturation; this is not a light white wine. It is a wine that keeps on giving as it breathes. It's a centerpiece to a meal. I can't even remember what we ate with it. Full, balanced, not too sweet but not dry.
I understand that Condrieu is best consumed young. Does drinking a 2017 wine in 2022 mean I missed the "young" window? Maybe. However, it did not taste like the fruit had faded at all. I think it could've aged another year or two. And then I think there is a school of thought that Condrieu can age perfectly well, which means it could be interesting in 5-7 years or longer. But to capture the deliciousness, why not drink it now? It was very good.
Joli nez de fruit mûr, avec des nuances épicées subtiles (safran?). La bouche est grasse, fraîche, avec une touche minérale discrète. Franchement délicieux, une belle découverte. 92-93 pts

Very intense. On the nose: ripe peach, guava, some va, ripe tarragon, vanilla custard, bruised banana. On the palate, wow, the density is off the charts, but the acidity is right there to support. My only complaint is that this clunky and maybe overblown, but that's the style. Did I mention 15.5% abv, which is surprisingly well-hidden with just a touch of white pepper spice and heat on the finish. Not nearly as well-integrated as the 2015.

This is a gorgeous wine, full of sweet peach, mango, and tangerine, accented by zesty ginger and mint. The nose is, as you'd expect, floral, and the body is, as you'd expect, creamy with light acidity.

Lovely. Really like these when young (or ten years later). Ripe apricot fruit, some exotic notes, hint of fennel, perfumed, but with good zip of acidity and structure on finish to keep it balanced. Only after one hour opened and warming too much did it feel a bit clumsy.

Slightly warmer and richer than usual. Tropical fruit notes, anise and fennel notes. Big scaled, round and caressing. Settled in and firmed up over 4 days. Needs time in the cellar.

Tasted next to 2017 Condrieu and 2017 Clos Chanson. Lovely nose, combining the expressiveness of the basic Condrieu with the intensity and depth of Clos Chanson. Layered, generous, floral, delicate, mineral, fresh. Very very long. A beautiful wine! 93-94+

Good balanced stony viognier w/ floral notes and a little more "grip" than the last few vintages that seemed a little warm/fruit forward

Much more fruit driven, lychees and exotic fruit; very powerful, intense fruit on the palate. Good, but I prefer the style of the Clos Chanson.
