Just very pleasent wine to drink - and that’s not a bad thing. A lovely nose with spice , red fruit mixed with a deep Dark fruit. Typical Gevrey from a great producer. Esben got it blind and liked it a lot.

Trying the night after 2015 Denis Bachelet Bourgogne. So different - much deeper in color and more red than purple. Much more complicated on the nose - smells like darker fruits, but also adds a peppery note. Smells more jammy, if that makes any sense (I guess I mean concentrated). The wine coats my entire mouth in such a pleasant way - while it’s still a predominantly fruity flavor it’s very concentrated yet smooth. Not a long aftertaste. Tannins not very present here. A pleasant drinking wine.

Very dark in color. Pleasant to the nose - primarily fruit smells, with floral hints, maybe a little bit of pepper? A little tart at first - red cherry - but good balance and very approachable. Very light in tannins, mostly fruit here. Really good wine young.

Up against the Berthaut and the F. Esmonin / The Mortet was clearly the best. Got the Gevrey spice and with a more elegant style , it was far better than the other Village from same year. Respect.

Full bodied for a Gevrey and rather spicy. I found this is a bit too woody which seemed to overshadow the fruit. Lacked the Burgundian qualities I expected.

The Wine Club Tour de France (San Francisco): Ruby. Ripe, spicy nose. Red fruit, good volume but lots of wood. A bit of soil. Modern and very much in the Mortet style, which leaves me flat for all of oak make up. Already drinkable, though.

아로마, 장미, 블렉베리 향이 엄청 올라오고
적당한 타닌감, 미네랄리티, 여운이 길게 남는다
