Light ruby color fading to orange rime Medium plus aromas if red cherry/ cranberry with sweet red/ purple floral notes/ rose, followed by significant volcanic/ ash mineral notes which eventually are dominant Medium bodied with linear palate - crunchy red berry with dried lavender/ green herbs and again pretty intense minerality - ash/ lava Medium plus acidity and medium tannins and medium alcohol Moderate length led by acid and mineral notes Drinking well now but with good 3-5 yrs to go based on fruit quality - not sure this will improve with aging however This style of wine is very appealing to me but not sure it will be to everyone

bottle drunk over several days, did not evolve much. beautiful nose with notes of fresh red fruits, a little bit of spices and a touch of green with underpins the freshness of the nose. the palate is fresh, could be a pinot noir or an elegant grenache.

First Canary Islands wine for me; this sits somewhere between a Pinot Noir & a Cabernet Franc in body & weight. 50-150 yr old indigenous vines grown in the north-east of Tenerife in black volcanic basalt.
Pale garnet. An ultra savoury affair with minimal fruit character coming through. There's red cherry & red plums, but mostly I get earth, musk, leather, barnyard, pepper & some smokey charcuterie. Also, I get a lot of Brett but it doesn't detract from the wine IMO. Powdery tannins, mild acid. Unique wine!

Nice nose with notes of roses, tart red plum, earth, strawberries, and salinity. High acidity with lots of tart red fruit, raspberry, red plum, and blood orange on the palate. Good structure and nice finish. Lovely wine. Feels young and has structure, fruit, and acidity to age well, but also quite approachable now. 93+

No formal notes taken as was taken to dinner at friends. Beautiful aromas of red fruit, herbs and strong mineral presence. Very light in color but aromas and palate were midweight and quite elegant. No rush to drink.

Tasted blind, thought this was Ribeira Sacra from the same producer. Peppery nose blended with bright red fruit. Lot of primary complexity. Medium tannins, high & bright acidity. Some strong aging potential here, but a bit young at the moment. Lovely wine with pork.

Reductive aromas in the beginning, as is often the case of wines from the region, although not completely obfuscating other aromas. After some aeration, tart cherries, slightly herbal on the palate, with the tartness being quite prominent, although with time it becomes a bit more mellow. There is some heat at times, although the alcohol % is low.

Very floral, rose water, white pepper and smoke which represent the volcanic soil. Loaded with elegant red fruits, high tone aroma shut light on its foot Super drinkable and delicious, very rounded and elegant on the palate, excellent fine grained tannin and a touch of smoke bacon , savouriness on the palate. Really represent the volcanic terroir well. Very light but very very flavourful. Very good length. Only 12%

Initially, fair amount of reductive aromas and some brett. Recorked bottle and shook vigorously then decanted. Now 1h after decant. Reductive aromas have dissipated and now, lovely red and black cherries, pomegranate, hint of lemon, herbs, and minerals. Tart cherries and pomegranate mixed w some bitter herbs, nice minerals on midpalate accompanied by gentle tannins. Excellent acids. Nice citrus and pomegranate finish. A bit of heat mars the finish but otherwise very enjoyable. Not sure about the value at $40 though.

I hope this was flawed, but it wasn't obvious to us. What I will say is that the bottle was kind of nasty, with a mild aroma of swimming-pool chlorine and a slightly off-putting musty character. Yet it tasted clean. I'm betting on TCA and won't rate it.

Light Ruby color, filtered Medium + aromatics of smoke, ash and rock. Secondary green stems Palate medium + with medium+ acidity and medium fine tannins. Mildly bitter cherry with under ripe plums. No secondary characteristics Finish is rather linear with medium length I think the most interesting feature is the nose.

Quite young but lovely crisp red fruit, a wild herb/almost clove scent, quite light on its feet. With 30 minutes in decanter starts to cohere a bit more and add some depth. Needs a year or two.

This bottle is perfectly fine, but lacks the special charachter I’ve found, and liked so much, in previous vintages. Might be the vintage, might be the youth. Will see.

Decanted for 3 hrs or so. Effusive nose, lots of great dark cherry fruit with juicy acidity, some tannins still to resolve. Very tasty

Served slightly cooled, big glasses (Zalto Burgundy) nose very mineral, taste is fresh again some mineral approach, but works with spicy pizza.
