Muted nose, raspberry/cranberry heavy. Leaner body up front than the Leclerc we had prior, which is crazy bc this has more dosage. Big cranberry energy, some drying tannin on the finish. Weird good, a thinking rosé.

Enjoyed over three nights, and even the final glass had managed to retain the CO2 because I had stoppered it well during the week. Disgorged February 2019, with around 7 grams of dosage, a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Raspberries and bread dough in the aroma, with similar red fruits of watermelon and raspberries in the palate, along with orange and honeydew melon. Finishes with some licorice. After several bottles of this now, I just am not a big fan of this wine, as it has a heaviness that I just get hung up on. I just wish it was a little leaner and more electric, as the fruit is there, but the wine just comes off a little dense for me.

Disgorged 02/2019, mainly 2015 base, from PN, PM and Chard, dosed at around 7 g/l. Same peach color as previous bottles. Bit of a spicy note in this, like a cinnamon. Joined by green apple, strawberry and a pungent cherry. Finishes with a spicy, pippin apple finish. Better with a chill, as when it is warmer it seems a little glossy to me.

Harvest mostly 2015. 2016 bottling. Disgorged February 2019. Dosage 5-6 grams/liter. Light-moderate nose of saline and red fruits. Moderate strength flavors that end with a touch of yeasty sweetness. I prefer a drier finish.

Blind: I'm a sucker for sparkling rose but only when it is not sweet. Winner right here, I guessed 5g/l and it might have been lower... it's actually 7 g/l but comes across in the low dosage family. I thought it might be straight up pinot muenier but there's chardonnay and noir in there too. Great stuff.

Bought 5 bottles, which was an error as I double ordered but glad I did. Disgorged 02/2019, mainly 2015 base, made from PN, PM and Chard, dosed at around 7 g/l. This is good. Pink/peach ion color. Mixes some light saline notes, with red fruits like strawberry and raspberry, even some nectarine, along with green apple. The acidity is present, not powerful but enough to add to the balance. I continue to enjoy the Chartogne-Taillet body of work, and this keeps that perception going.

This bottle had a bit of funk on opening (reduction?) but it blew off after a couple hours. After that pleasant and enjoyable.

2020 disgorgement. A bit simple, but generous, delicious, and easy drinking. Probably not for lovers of austere brut nature style champers.

Great value. Overdelivers bigly. I have to pause and try to intellectually describe what is just spent the last hour just simply enjoying.
Nose is strawberries and pencil shavings. Nice natural mouthfeel. Great “shape”. Again a bit of graphite but bright acidity and light rose fruit
Buy again. Really smart and versatile wine.
