Medium to dark red color, very fragrant with floral and herbaceous notes. Finish of 30 seconds plus, with strong and firm tannins that subsided over 30-45 minutes after opening. Will be even more enjoyable in the future and hopefully for years to come

Amsterdam UGCB Tasting (Amstel Boathouse, Amsterdam, NL): Powerful but not overdone. Concentrated, good ripe fruit, hint of red meat, firm tannins, a masculine Margaux but nothing sticks out, clearly a long haul wine but should get there.

With a smoke filled nose of plum, espresso, licorice, cigar box and roasted dark red fruits, the wine is round, lush and full-bodied with espresso and dark chocolate that rise along with all the ripe, dark red berries in the finish. It is going to take time for the oak to integrate, therefore, you will need to be either oak tolerant or very patient with this one.

Château Lascombes, Margaux, 2018: Tasted at several stages over 5 days. Deep royal purple. On the nose, ripe blackberries, raspberries, cassis, smoke, toasted oak, vanilla, green foliage and dried flowers. Medium to full-bodied, leaning to full, rich, suave, velvety texture, deeply extracted ripe fruit, layers slowly unfolding with juicy black and red forest berries, cassis jam, licorice, graphite, cured meats, medium acidity with notes of dutch cocoa and roasted mushrooms as well as grainy, ripe tannins yet precise on a long, plush, and generous finish. Another impressive vintage. 14.5% Abv. Drink 2028-2045, perhaps longer. 93-94

2018 Bordeaux tasting event (Stockholm): Concentrated aromas of deep dark fruit, oak and some smoke. Sits well in the mouth with its deep fruit. Full bodied. Maybe too much of everything but time will tell if this blockbuster turns into something more refined down the road. Too (?) powerful and too much (?) oak for a Margaux.

Round, forward, ripe and lush with real fatness to the fruits, this wine is concentrated, and full-bodied with plenty of smoke, licorice and espresso to accompany all that black fruit. It is going to take time for the oak to integrate therefore you will need to be either oak tolerant or very patient with this one. 91-93 Pts

Really good youthful Bordeaux from our favorite producer. Deep ruby red, medium bodied and well balanced. 25 second plus finish with room to grow

Hint of herbaceous character. Ripe dark fruits. Prominent oak and tannin. Less delivering at the moment.

The 2018 UGCB tasting Amsterdam 6/21/2021 (Amsterdam, Amstel Boathouse): A good Margaux, nice flowery bouquet, smooth, quite refined, and a certain persistence, but no extravagancy I hoped a bit for.

Bordeaux 2018 - En Primeur in Australia (pyrmont wharf, sydney): Pretty, the merlot showing, some plum with red currant and blackcurrant underpin. Tight tannins dominate the juicy fresh fruits, polished cedar here as well. Nice
