A stellar 100% Lambrusco sparkling rosé which begins with a full bouquet of strawberry, cherry, watermelon, and orange blossom. Naturally carbonated with a tight bubble structure, the pallate keeps all the bright fruit and adds notes of yeast & creme fraiche into the mix which linger throughout the finish. Impressively complex and continued to imrpove as the bottle warmed slightly. Also proved to be an excellent pairing with crispy lime ginger salmon! ($20) [1/27/22]

As pointed out in previous notes, this is a wonderful wine: lots of flavorful red fruits, food friendly, a nice finish, and a great QPR. Just doesn’t show much in the way of complexity. I would definitely purchase again.

This wine is natural. This wine presents rose in the bottle. This wine is orange in the glass. This wine is a delicious pairing with whole Branzino on the Primo smoker grill and enjoyed al fresco on a beautiful summer evening in Chicago while cicadas and crickets serenade us. Glorious!

A fun, versatile pour, working well with foods as diverse as tomato-sauced Italian sausage pizza (day 1) and miso black cod (day 2), and yet able to be sipped on its own. I enjoyed the saline element on the palate, which aided its refreshing aspects.

This is an odd concoction upon reflections. It tastes a bit of a sparkling rosé wine from France or California but with more sweetness and froth instead of bubbles. We drank this bottle over one evening because we weren't sure what to do with anything left over. Mercifully, it's only 11.5% ABV. It's pleasant enough. One could say that it is a very filling wine with all that foam in the stomach.

I love this Lambrusco. I would repeat user “afields” notes to the letter. I get strong grapefruit, strawberry and raspberry. Not at all overripe, but perhaps underripe is the perfect description. The bubbles are perfect, but DO die quickly so keep the bottle close. This is a wonderful sipper or light food wine. I could drink this every day.

Dry and bright with underripe strawberry/raspberry, juicy orange, pink grapefruit. The fizz and feel of a soda or fizzy cocktail more than méthode champenoise, coarser bubbles and they die much faster in the glass so this rewards frequent small pours.. This is fun and super refreshing but not really an equivalent to most sparkling rosé. This is asking for light summery food I think, or just to be an afternoon porch wine without food. Good quality but not terribly ‘serious’. 6.2/10

The natural (and Lambrusco) wine I’ve been waiting for. Not the usually off putting aromas of some unfiltered wines, crisp, cool, minerally, and outstanding on a summer day. Have with practically any food or on its own. This is what patios were made for.

Very different from any other fizzy wine I've tasted. Drank on a hot afternoon on the deck. It almost was thirst quenching. No complexity whatsoever. It's neither sweet nor dry. It is kind of fun though.

This is yummy. On the nose: soft tangerine, peach, wild strawberry. On the palate, good acidity, soft peach, lovely mousse, good lift. Very cleam finish.

I haven’t had Lambrusco in over 40 years, since the “sweet plonk” sold in the US back in the 1970’s, and a staple at my late parents holiday dinner table! I had to do some research before trying this....
Unlike most Lambrusco’s which are made using the Charmat (tank method) process, this is actually made with the secondary fermentation occurring in the bottle (similar to Champagne), except there is no disgorgement, thus the “bottle cap” enclosure, the cloudiness from the lees, and sediment and “lees” in the bottom of the bottle.
A fun but somewhat serious wine: pale salmon color; red florals, tart red berries, pink grapefruit, and unripe strawberries with some slight yeastiness to add complexity. Frothy and fizzy initially, but the bubbles subside to “fizzante”. Firm acidity adds balance and supports a medium finish. At less than $17 what’s there not to like?

Cloudy pale salmon with a touch of yellow; fairly unusual as wine colors go. Fairly tiny bubbles. Diluted grapefruit on the nose. Notes of strong grapefruit (and grapefruit zest) dominate with strong minerality and a lightness of body that seems at odds with the structure. Very interesting; it would go well in a chilled bucket beside the pool in a hot summer. Badly overrated by Wine Enthusiast, as ever.

Savory, saline, mixed citrus, a bit spicy, dry, tasty, refreshing, with good acidity, and some appetizing bitterness toward the finish. Good stuff, and a good value.

Beautiful color. A pale pink with hay reflexes. There is a noticeable dense foam layer on top of the wine in the glass for several minutes Nose: strawberry and something tropical. Perhaps guava and mango. Lemon. Faint cellar mold Palate: strawberry lemon and mango dominate. Mineral notes a bit more in the background. Acidity is quite high. The perlage makes the wine almost feel foamy in terms of mouthfeel Finish: short with a distinct bitter note
