Nose was very tight and restrained for me but Liana got big hit of brandy then fruit. I didn’t get any of the other tasting notes flavors on pallets but do agree it had a nice balance. high heat. Oped and drank over 2 hours. Decanted which seemed to help smooth out the immediate tasting.

Impossible to go wrong this. Entering its drinking window. Truly elegant but still a sense of place (aka “am I licking a piece of aluminum? No that’s Priorat.”)

Purple, quite aromatic on the nose, dark berries, leather, dusty, some herbs and greem bell pepp. Medium-full body and crisp/fresh acidity, dark berriers, espresso shot, dark chocolate. Could ask for a little more depth here, but otherwise a good effort

60% Garnacha, 40% Carinena aged 12 months in French oak all of which was used to age previous vintages or Camins. 80% of the oak is one, two and three years old. Decanted. Even with generous air time aromas at this stage seem a little closed and tight. Aromas do show a mix of brambly raspberry, blackberry, plum and kirsch that come with violets, earth and rock with hints of sandalwood, clove and anise. the palate, as well it seems, is a little inward and tight. Structure is there with juicy acidity playing against the full tannins. Flavors confirm the nose with wild raspberry, plum, blackberry and black cherry notes with floral pastis, baking spice and anise that are all underlined by rocky earth tones and minerality. The drying finish begs for food. I don't anticipate this entering its drinking window until 2020 at the earliest, but more likely 2022.

Pretty purple/red color. Citrus notes in the bouquet. Very fresh, bright and acidic, but rather firm and closed. Should improve with a few more years of cellaring.

Second Sunday Group: Priorat (Frank's): Double blind. Dark fruit with stemmy/woody overtones. Tannic; firm. Flavors of dark fruit and also that stemmy quality from the bouquet. Astringent on the finish. Becomes more perfumed and floral as it opens, along with vanilla and dark fruit on the palate. Remains slightly astringent.

Medium dark and clear ruby color. Bouquet is strawberry caramel and spice. Warm, tastes of cooked cherries, with a longer finish that is more chewy and almost bloody. Has the fruity intensity that is characteristic of Carignan. Very good for price.

In my opinion, too much acid, very present tannins and a bit bitter aftertaste, maybe it should be stored for a while.

Dark fruit with good structure. Long and woody in the finish. Feels like a good cab with a cherry on top.
