Red and black cherries, cedar, medium plus body, mild tannins. Not overly complex but a nice bottle that can go well with lots of food. We enjoyed it with a grilled t-bone.

I worry the sub-90 point score will be read as if I didn’t like this. I did! Perfect with some steaks on a school night. Bright red/cherry fruit with little to no oak and improves with 30 minutes of air. Not an ager or as impressive or interesting as the Turley zins, but glad I had this on hand tonight. Ok value for nappa but feel I can do better for the money (other regions or a comparable zin).

This is a quality wine, but my opinion differs from other reviewers that describe this wine as dark-fruited. It's not, it lends mostly red fruit, with fresh tartness of cranberry and red raspberry. It offers a medium+ finish and touches of cedar, minerality, and expressive high-toned fruit.

Great nose of dark fruit. Hints of cedar with slight minerality. Medium- near full bodied. Paired extremely well with a variety of foods: Brie, charcoal-pecan wood grilled turkey, eggplant with shrimp, oyster dressing, whipped sweet potatoes! Nice, approachable wine.

Had after 1 hour decant. 14.9%. deep ruby. Full body. Plum, some oak, black fruit came across a bit briary. No hard edges, but not memorable. Also a bit too sweet and lacking some complexity. Enjoyable but would not buy again at this price point.

Tasted this Turley and Booker My Favorite Neighbor blinded, both 2018. It was a tie right out of the bottle. After 15 mins air in the glass, MFN was slightly better-richer and more complex. After 15 mins more (30 mins air total), MFN was quite a bit better. My conclusion is that Turley is a drink-on-release pop n pour. MFN is better and more age worthy.

typical California cab. good fruit and solid tannins to give it good structure. slightly bitter upon opening but smoothed as the night progressed. Drank well and opened up as it was in the glass. blackberry and coffee on the nose and the palate. fruit became more prominent as it warmed. slowly improving as pnp.. as one would expect. this is a good wine but i can find wines I like better at a better price point.

Great Napa cab for my 600th CT review. Extremely "typical" Napa around $50- almost "safe", not standing out in any particular way and definitely leaning toward a crowd-pleaser style, but absolutely delicious, well-made, and without any real drawbacks for the price.
Not sure why some are describing this as "classic", "herbal", "racy", etc (one review even mentioned "bright red fruit"..?) This feels like super modern Napa to me, all about ripeness and oak. It's still well-made, even "balanced", but I'm very sensitive to green/earthy/tobacco tones in dialed-back Cabs, and got none of them here.
Nicely powerful nose with a load of blackcurrant, blackberry liqueur, slightly baked black plum, lots of baking spices, vanilla, milk chocolate, and cedar. All fruit and oak, but still multifaceted and heady without any excess heat or jammy tones. Smells very ripe, but not overblown- the fruit and oak really work in harmony.
Palate is very straightforward, but still nicely balanced. Ripe black fruits and some /slightly/ brighter tone- a touch of cherry, but also darker red fruit liqueur like Chambord. Very pretty baking spices on the midpalate, like the nose, and a lingering finish with all kinds of black fruited richness. Obviously not an acid-driven wine, but there's a fair dose here that works really well- not awkwardly tart, but not flabby either, just meeting the fruit at eye level. Tannins are super friendly, already very soft for such a young Napa.
Absolutely ready to drink now, even without decanting. The biggest drawback here was that it didn't feel as "serious" as some other Napa in its price range; not at all flabby or jammy, just lacking the structure for serious aging (I actually found myself wishing for slightly more tannic grip). Could be that it's made to be an early drinker, which is just fine at $50. If it was $60-75 I'd want a little more structure, vibrancy, complexity.
Deep, dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & some floral notes, herbs, spices, minerals & oak/vanilla notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging.

I set my expectations for this wine very low, and sad to say it did not disappoint. I think this is the first $50 Cabernet that couldn't crack 90 points for me. The bottle itself is so thin and cheap for a wine of this price, and the lack of value and personality was reflected on the palate. This should be $20 - $25. Sweet, simple, light bodied, mundane. My first and last Turley Cabernet. I'll revisit their Zin and Petite Syrah for this vintage.

(Tasting at the Winery) Big, beautiful and rib sticking with a rush of raspberry compote, cherries and antique dust. Tannins are still prominent, but they are fine. Enchanting creme brûlée in the nose. Sage and thyme in the finish. Drink 2022 to 2033. Worth Seeking Out.

Coravined from a full bottle. Tasted immediately and then after about an hour of air in the glass. Right away, totally approachable but undeniably young Cabernet. Dark fruit on the nose with earthy tones, graphite, and crushed rock with some vegetal notes with air. Dark fruit continues on the palate with plenty of tannin, but not so much as to not be enjoyable. Undoubtedly will improve in the future but absolutely fantastic as is

One-hour decant. Surprisingly open for such a young one. Fruit showing much promise. Will (try to) hold off for six months before trying another bottle.

Had this the other night, and between my quickly fading ability to remember and a complete lack of tasting abilities, all I can say is that I really enjoyed this bottle. I'll try remember: kind of classic Cab nose and attack, deep darker fruits, with chalky and just-on-the-right-side-of-gripping tannins. I detected no overt or offensive oak. I'm sure there is some, but it's beautifully integrated and makes you ask: does it have it or not? Which is exactly how all oak should present itself, if you ask me. Will it improve with age? Probably round it out a little, but it was already drinking great now. Why wait? Great stuff.
