Red berries, cured meat, violet, rosemary, and thyme. Fullbodied, with massive, suedelike tannins, but equally dense fruit and juicy acidity. Dry finish. Drink now - 2028

First time trying this Panzano producer. Very pure red to dark cherry nose with a little terracotta, tobacco and mint. Nice and fresh on the palate with tangy red cherry and a super moreish tongue smacking finish. Lovely stuff.

Very good wine. Very typical varietal purple-ish color. Nice acidity, red cherries, tons of floral notes. Slightly dusty and nutty character mid-palate. Finishes long with nice grippy tannins. Goes great with rich pasta dishes.

Nose of mild menthol, pine and dried strawberries. Medium/light body. Cherry and strawberry fruit on the mid palate with tobacco and tomato leaf notes on the back palate. Finishes dry with mildly gripping acidity. Has some interesting and tasty elements going on. Nice Chianti (Sangiovese).

Beautiful. Great value at $26 USD. High altitude vineyards Sangiovese. High toned and elegant. Medium tannins, dusty, cherry, pomegranate, leather, blueberry? Good god perfect with cauliflower, pepper Jack ravioli with a roasted tomato sauce. My local wine purveyor expected the 2017s to come in and got a few more 2016s. If you can find it GET IT! Yum

So much purple flowers and earthy minerality! Almost a bit lacking in the ”fruit” department but there is red cherry there. This should have been decanted because it continued to grow.

Seduced by the mysterious level of depth this wine brings to the table. The combination of the ageing (12 months in large oak barrels and 12 months in cement) and the 2016-vintage weather has to be the answer. The fruit is crystal clear with fresh acidity. The savory notes brings structure to the wine and gives the tannins an almost grainy texture to the palate - not unlike something like a Cabernet Franc.

Drinkable but for what it is, disappointingly thin, empty and short on day one, maybe 84p territory. Good table wine quality.
On day two, almost completely hollowed out, this indeed takes a bit of willpower to drink.
Not impressed.
The experience does not fit at all to the other description here on CT (90p) and some wine press scores (3x92p) so it might be an unlucky bottle. However, I could not detect any wine failure (def not corked), just a dismaying lack of substance of any kind.

PNP. Rich purple color. Best after a little air. Ripe cherry nose, more tart cherry, cranberry on the palate. Bright acidity, medium tannins. Some leather. 13.5% Lovely, nice value.

Structured, bright, with elegant lines and a middle palate that fills in nicely with some airtime. Organically grown, and well worth seeking out, but there are only 25,000 bottles produced. Worth looking for. recommended+
Elegant chianti with ripe cherry, a pleasant nutty quality and some floral lift. High acid with medium tannins. Feels like there’s a lot of clarity and elegance here — very much enjoyed this.

Very nice chianti. Fully mature, but not OTT. Smooth and balanced, lower apparent acidity than most chianti.
