Resplendent, juicy, pure red fruits; not the last word in complexity but delicious and delightful. While it will last a few more years there is no reason to delay gratification, because it will probably just evolve rather than improve.

Oh this is great. Really attractive nose of violets and roses. Just gorgeously fragrant. So light and ethereal and dancing. Just super delicious. Sweet, enveloping. Tight, precise acidity. Long and giving. Utterly delicious.

South African wines of North London (Must & Lees): Pretty, pale appearance - perhaps lighter than the 2010 Pinot alongside it! Very Pinot on the nose, with a touch of savour and then subtle rose aromas with more air. Tart cranberry and raspberry on the palate, still quite grippy and with a bit of woody tannin too. I'd prefer this with another couple of years in the bottle, I reckon.

South Africa (Must and Lees, N1): Very light in colour, a medium see-through pinkish red. Nose not immediately sceaming of Pinot Noir (or at least not in the same way I felt the 2010 Hamilton did), but I felt was much more typical of the grape on the palate with elegant raspberry and cranberry. A spicy kick at the finish was appreciated, with tannins obviously still quite present.

Pale Ruby. Cherry, red plums and sage with a floral note, and a hint of warm rubber on the nose. On the palate, red fruit and herbs. Some oak is evident, but hopefully this will integrate with some more time. Young. Q:3/4 P:2/3 X:2/3 Total:7/10

Short decant. Intense nose full of red cherries and fresh herbs. Delicious. Palate is rich and soft - lovely integrated tannins and fresh acidity with cherries, some lavender and garrigue. Really fresh and totally enjoyable. Excellent. Drink now-2024.

Purple red in colour. Nose showing wild strawberries, notes of rosemary. Palate showing quite a cherry note with a fair bit of acidity and nice balance. Light notes of herbs - perhaps a little lavender. Really enjoyable but lacking some persistence, hence only an 88. Drink now-2023.

Umami and florality. Good concentration and nice wood touch. A real steal for this price.

North London TWS Tastings series: South Africa (Must and Lees, N1) (Must and Lees N1): Bright red fruit and a little sweat on the nose
Nicer on the palate but with a slightly sharp finish

Lovely #pinotnoir with bright clear fruit, vibrant and fresh with good depth, soft spoken but clearly of quality
