    Med garnet ruby.
Bright red cherry and rose flavors
Gushing Mouthwatering acidity, spicy bright cherry and watermelon fruit
Some structure creeping in at the end, but lowish alcohol keeps this light and fresh.
This starts off rather rustic and a bit polarizing, but with 45 minutes of air calms down enough.

  • In the company of very fine Barolo and Barbaresco, this wine has all the depth of the best from those regions, but at a lower abv, which makes it perhaps even more compelling. Aromas of dark fruit, roses, vanilla, licorice, leather, damp forest floor and mushrooms. Ethereal top notes of mint and tart stone fruits are haunting. Deep and textured on the palate, fine tannins grip firmly, but they are totally in balance with fruit, earth and spice. There's an air of wilderness next to the opulence of kitchens. Light and heavy at once, combining bright and dark tones, staining and bouncing, effortlessly complex; this is young, but its potential glares. Really serious stuff. I would save it for 10 years or so, but even then it will probably not be at its plateau.
