My first exposure to a serious Italian PB. I was surprised how complete this was, all the structure of a world class white wine. A light golden color and a driblet of reduction in the nose that was flattering. The texture was reminiscent of a white Burg, all silky and shit. Lemon curd, persimmons, straw, waxiness, and a really nice backbone of acidity to support it all. Long finish to keep you contemplating the next sip. Had this paired with a crispelle of iberico pork, and a sweetbreads and chanterelle dish. Nailed both of them. I need to put some of this in my cellar. Thanks Bob.
Bottle 1/7. Pours green tinged light gold. Creamy almond and lemon tart and some oak on the nose. Medium acid. Palate follows the nose with baking spices, lemon tart and almond bitterness. Really pretty. As it gets to room temp you can taste a little alcohol which is its only small detriment.

The grapes are harvested from the Cru Vorberg. Fermented in old 7000 to 3000-liter oak casks, full MLF, aged for 12 months in oak casks. 13,5% alcohol, 1,2 g/l residual sugar and 5,9 g/l acidity.
Youthful, quite intensely-colored yet not deep yellow-green appearance. The nose feels expressive with quite intense aromas of sweet yellow fruits like peach and pineapple, some apple jam tones, a little bit of stony minerality, light smoky notes of struck flint, a hint of rubbery reduction and a touch of extracted spice. The wine feels quite big and broad-shouldered on the palate with a full body, a slightly oily mouthfeel and intense flavors of white peach and ripe apricot, some stony mineral tones, a little bit of cantaloupe, light extracted spicy notes, a hint of fresh pineapple and a touch of chalky bitterness. The acidity feels impressively high for a big and ripe wine like this. The finish is ripe, long and spicy with an intense aftertaste of peach, some apple jam, light honeyed tones, a little bit of spicy extraction, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of chalky bitterness.
A big and quite ripe yet not fat, heavy or ponderous white with lots of substance, structure and finesse. At first the wine feels a bit closed with its somewhat reductive tones, but after some aeration the wine starts to open up, turning into an impressively expressive beast after about half an hour or so. Although the wine is still pretty youthful, it is starting to get past its primary phase and finally entering its drinking window - which is most likely going to be pretty wide. Although the wine is quite superb already now, I feel it is going to evolve and improve for at least another decade, if not more. Drink or keep - this is going to be an outstanding Pinot Blanc either way. This was very reasonably priced at 47€ per bottle in Compagnia dei Vinattieri, Siena.

No formal tasting note, but this is really beautiful. Day 1 is easily a 93 with nice complexity, a bit less so on day 2. Much more depth than the 2019 I opened the following day.

It's been almost three years since I last drank this, and the wine has evolved quite a bit from that note. To be honest, this wine now possesses enough richness & body that I would be tempted to flight it blind with some white Burgundies. My wife is making a chicken dish tonight with mushrooms and some heavy cream and I think this should go well with that. My next to last bottle.

Pale gold, Med intensity on the nose, notes of green apple, savory undertone (earthy, mushroom), oak (tertiary notes), minerality. On the palate still showing well with lemon curd, almond, some toast, green apple. Finish is long. Med + body, ABV 13.5%

Delicious bottle of Pinot Bianco. Great structure and balanced acidity with superb depth of fruit and mineral notes. Perfect match with Thai salmon and salads. So much potential for ageing here. Must get more and tuck away for a few years.

Pretty but at this young age fails to make an above 90 impact. Needs its time to develop and felt a touch one dimensional and lacked the Terlan special side. Good wine but we always expect Terlans to be exceptional :) 90

Notes from memory. Baked apples, lemon on the nose. More acidic and structured on the palate than the bouquet would lead you to expect - more of a green apple thing. Oily texture. This is a well made wine but I wasn’t that moved by it. May have been too much chill and the al fresco dining environment that distracted a bit so maybe not a really fair shake for the wine. I have some 2018 that I will try to have under more fair circumstances. So judgment reserved until I do. For now: Score : 88+. Relative to expectations: 0?

Just delicious- wonderfully complex, with a persistent finish. Lovely oily texture and mouthfeel, nice weight on the palate. Still young, no rush to drink.

It took me a bit to recognize this wine’s virtues, but better late than never. Let me start from the end: what really makes this wine stand out is the powerful sensation of slightly bitter mineral salts on the finish. Before that, I taste a bunch of lime, poached pear, and hops. The texture starts acidic and evolves into a more oily sensation. Overall, this wine tastes distinctive, balanced, and strong.

Light golden yellow. The wine needs about an hour in the glass to really express itself. A delicate nose with cardamom, lots of minerality (wet stones, flint, smoke), ripe yellow apple, red grapefruit and white peach. On the palate pear, yellow apple, cantaloupe melon, lemon peel and a vanilla, creamy finish. Long, saline finish. Lovely, definitely going to buy again

Very nice Pinot Blanc. Nose with minerality and a hint of cardboard. Palate is better than the nose. Ripe fruit, yellow plums, melon, apple, fresh pineapple. Long and tasty finish.

13.5%. Oak barrel ferment. Malo. Age 12m on lees in traditional wooden barrels. On the nose – various fruit (melon, golden delicious apple, white peach, pear plus quince jelly, camomile & pineapple) + flint mineral notes. Palate – Similar with compact structure plus creamy elegance and firm mineral/spice finish.

Holy was this good. Immediately tasty with voluptuous mouthfeel, but began with perhaps a bit too much reduction and vanilla oak. After about two hours though the flavors integrate, showing something reminiscent of almond nougat with a bit of saltiness and excellent underlying acidity. Impression of saltine crackers. Envelopes the tongue with a finish that goes on and on. Give it time and serve chilled.

The wine was nicely perfumed with green apple, lime, fresh herbs, and white floral aromas. On the palate, it was rich and concentrated with lively acidity, with white stone fruit and floral tones, complemented by minerality and a hint of vanilla towards the creamy and long finish. Very beautiful material here, and also enjoyable today.

A Very pleasent wine, well balanced, roun, soft, with little bitter in the end. The limited vanilla is well compensated by the bitters, despite the very limited acidity.

From vines 450 to 950 metres above sea level, this is fermented in large oak and then sees 12 months ageing in oak and on the lees. Full yellow colour. Rich nose of apricot, peach and vanilla. This carries through on the palate. It finishes reasonably long with just a touch of tart acidity poking out.
