  • This has developed nicely and is fully ready to consume. Some heft and complexity has developed while it has shed some of its youthful exuberance. The profile is lemon, lemon peel, lanolin, tuber rose, chalk and mineral and a kiss of vanilla on the finish. A lovely expression of Chenin Blanc. An excellent finish to a wonderful Labor Day holiday and continuous California-like weather. 14% alc. With grilled chicken in lemon beurre blanc. Highly Recommended.

  • Ne fonctionne vraiment pas avec différents fromages.

  • Un chenin plutôt souple et marqué par son millésime: l'équilibre est légèrement dominé par l'alcool au détriment de la fraîcheur.

  • The depth of the nose on this wine is incredibly deep and complex with lanolin, mineral, orange zest, honeysuckle for starters. But it has so much more going on. Its flavors deliver much the same, but with added dimensions of lemon, lemon zest and white flowers on the palate. Something earthy beyond the mineral rounds out the back of the mouth. Great cut and decent heft on the mouthfeel. 14% alc. With crabcakes during visit by BBH. Highly Recommended.

This wine has so much going on now, but will have much more going on in another year. 14% alc. With crab cakes and watercress and avocado salad. Highly Recommended.

  • En nariz algo marcado por tostados y alguna nota vegetal. Anís y fruta blanca. En boca acidez correcta, un pto. alcohólico y mineral. Volver a probar en el 2010.

  • Pale, but not insipidly so. Distinctly mineral on the nose with pear and white fruit pits and white flowers. The mineral is even more pronounced on the palate, but not at all over done. Wet stones, pear, some hints of honey, white flower and a finish of white pepper all move across the palate as if it were a stage for a well choreographed dance. Balance is the watchword here. Well structured on a nimble chassis of acidity and fruit, it’s remarkable for the fact that it doesn’t try to over do, over power or otherwise scream for attention. A steel magnolia of a wine: feminine without being fussy, graceful without being dramatic, delightful without being delicate. 14% alc., which I never realized, never thought about, until writing this. I never would have suspected it to have that amount of alcohol. With oyster stew and crab cakes. While the wine works beautifully with both, it shines brightest with the crab cake. Highly Recommended.
