Consistent with other notes- mousy nose was off putting for me. As it warmed from fridge temp it opened a little but I did not love this. Glad I tried it.

medium gold colored. nose of ripe golden apples and honey. slightly oxidized. medium bodied with a very well integrated high acidity, not too sharp. rich and unctuous apple and honey flavors with a great herbaceous twist. a little bit leesy as well. walnut oil at the back. medium length finish with a gentle, clean taper. uniquely savoie and among the better examples.

Deep yellow. This started with aromas of ripe melon, pineapple, and a touch of honey. With more air in the glass, faint herbs and more pronounced aromatic florality. Lovely medium+ weight and glycerine feel most reminiscent of Loire Chenin Blanc. Dry, excellent acidity, and a mineral, soil laden edge. Perhaps it showed a whiff of oxidation as well, but nothing overtly maderized, and it continued to improve over time. Unique wine which we really enjoyed and for which I had few reference points. Interestingly, the sommelier mentioned that he had noticed quite a bit of bottle variation in bottles opened here in the U.S. with some being funky, but we found this bottle clean, complex, and full of intrigue.

Resto racines in annecy France - recommend! Looks like a vin jaune. Dusty nose, sweet apple, a bit of hay - not very pronounced and reduced nose. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity and med finish. Very much tasting like savignin, a bit of citrus and green apple. Special, atypical and vin jaune lovers will like this - I do!

Nice when it was opened. High acid, lemon and apple. Slightly weird smoky finish. An hour later that finish became overwhelming, a dead ringer for the dry aged scent you get when you throw a Flannery adventurous blend burger on the grille - .great in a burger, not so much in a wine.

Medium gold in colour. Something a little musky here, ripe quince, grapefruit and strawberry in the mouth, some orange peel, then a very particular aftertaste that I can’t put my finger on, like soft nut, earthy and musky. Good acidity. Quite individual, went well with the freshwater trout.

2018 ripeness, candied orange and lemon, has weight, but balanced. Despite the full and dense style it is quite effortless and light at the same time!

Tubulus has it right. Apples and lemons and wet stone when opened, but a strange flavor becomes more dominant after being decanted for an hour or so.
For me, it was an overpowering aroma and flavor of roast corn. And a hint of mouse. So there you go. Corn mouse.
Medium body, good acid though!

Fun to try, dry in a waxy way, nutty, golden apple and sour apple, fresh earth, light spice, dried almond in the finish. Medium length and complexity.

Urtepreget duft, litt epleskrott, nøtter. Minner litt om Jura. Fyldig frukt og fin syre. Distinkt preg av krydderkake i ettersmaken. Deilig vin.
