Disgorged April 2019, no dosage of 100% Pinot Noir. From the plot previously planted to elm trees, with soil of green clay (I suppose similar to that of Cuisles, where the soil is called terre d'illite). Have stored these for a few years. I've had some mixed results with some of Benoit's cuvee called Rue de Noyers, so I wasn't sure how this one would show. Opened, poured took first few sips and then WOW hit me. Toasty, spicy, flinty texture and just a long, deep swath of fruit. Flavors of peach, pear and apple, with a little pastry overtone wrapped all around it. Just pure, smooth, delicious, and one of the very best wines I have had in some time.

Perman Champagne Night (Zoom, Chicago, IL): Nose: The nose is uplifting and fresh with peaches, baked pears, red apples, quince, minerals, custard, biscuits, and warm dough. There is excellent depth with a lot of poise and balance that is extremely enjoyable to smell.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with racy, high acidity. The acidity has some real zip to it and the feel is well textured while being backed up by tones of peaches, baked pears, red apples, quince, custard, biscuits, and warm dough.
Overall: This is a really lovely and fresh Champagne. This favors white and citrus fruits right now, but there is ample autolytics there for development over the next 5+ years.

Outstanding nose - better than palate. Opens up in the glass.

I had what it is but it was great. One day later I tasted the whole range. All are amazing. A great wine maker and this was the best. 95-96
