This has evolved beautifully since the first time I tried it about four years ago. Much richer but beautifully balanced by nice acidity and lots of minerals. There’s lovely citrus notes, green apples, a hint of jasmine, and a flinty note. Nice finish. Ganevat’s wines really need some age and this will continue to improve for a while. 93+

My first 2016 from Ganevat. As usual there is lots of lemon, but harsher, raw lemon and creamier, more like grilled lemon. Green apple, chalky and bready - or perhaps baking soda rather than bread. Shows some developed notes, raw honey and mature cheese. Really delicious. Florine is an underrated cuvée, to me it often performs just as well as Grusse En Billat, Grands Teppes etc.

Richness of orchard fruit verging on butterscotch , which suddenly crashes down with an ocean of acidity and sour resetting the palate. Long tart and lively. Ka-boom!

Nose is a mix of honey and hay. Palate has some of those honey notes but then it finishes with salinity and lemon acidity. Great complexity. Delicious. Even better on day 2.

Orchard fruit, baked apples, chamomile, and minerals on the nose. Good acidity with crushed rocks, green apples, lemon, and line notes on the palate. Good finish.

100% Chardonnay. Named after his daughter, this cuvée is made from the “youngest” vines on the estate (planted in 1986 on limestone soil).
