Crimson in color. 13.3% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, cloves, sarsaparilla and forest floor. Medium body with medium acidity. Soft, dark and earthy. Black cherry, cola, earth and minerals on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Definitely enjoyable and fairly priced but not quite on par with recent vintages of this appellation wine. Best over the next 2-4 years.

Decant this. This is the second bottle in a row of WS I’ve had that was significantly better the second day. Very acidic upon opening but day two was very smooth.

Cherry cola, raspberries, and a whirlwind of herbaciousness all mixed in. Drinking nicely now as the components are well into integration. Fruit notes are present on the nose but balanced out on the palette.

Decanted for one hour. Lots of cherry cola on the nose with some sous bois. A creamy texture on the palate and tannins were present but nicely balanced. Nice acidity and 13.3% abv. I give it 93 now but it will improve over the next 3-5 years. Interested how this wind will evolve.

The nose is full of minerals with an underlying woodsy tone. Fruit tones very hard to detect on the nose. The taste is a somewhat puckering sour apple mixed with a cherry cola finish. Reserving further judgement as the rest of the bottle opens up.

Pale purple color with medium legs. Raspberry, plum and light oak on the nose. Strawberry, black cherry and tea on the palate. Long satin like finish.
