A wonderful wine. Nose of dark fruits - ripe plum and dark cherry with some wood and leather. Flavors followed with jammy dark fruit, plum, dark cherry and Cassis. Tannins were silky, even as a young wine with besutiful finish of dark fruit, cassis and a nice acidic twinge of currant. This wine will only get better with age!!

Big young bruiser - bright plum fruits that have big impact on the palate. Tasty now with stuffing to age - similar to other Hall wines in my experience.

Very dark and rich-looking, with copious legs. Loaded nose with licorice, coffee and chocolate. In the mouth, rich, thick, with lots of mountain fruit. Still, already drinkable if you like big wines, as the tannins are ripe and chewy. Long, rich finish. 5-13-17-9: 94/100.

No notes only impressions. Drank alongside 6 other wines from various vintages and locations: Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet hailing from Italy, Napa and Washington.
PnP which combined with recent tasting of Kinsman Rhad plus against this lineup may not have given this a fair shake. The wine was a pleasure to drink without fruit but lacked complexity or nuances I would look for at a $200 bottle and against the lineup tonight seemed very manipulated (no idea of that is true or not just what came to mind). The wine was immediately accessible which for mountain fruit would seem nearly impossible under normal conditions not to mention a very good structure vintage like ‘18. I would like to give this another shot with time in the decanter as I just don’t know what to make of its future and potential- is Hall going on the direction of Caymus or perhaps the wine simply needed more time to unravel (although there wasn’t a tightness of structure prohibiting a peak behind a wall so not sure).
Cassis, cherry, blueberry, dried earth, oregano, cinnamon, cigar box, vanilla, cream, great balance and silky profile. Surprisingly approachable given the mountain fruit and youth of the wine.

Delish - peppery cabernet. Bold dark fruit.

This is one of the best bottles of wines we have had. Very smooth with complexity. Extremely enjoyable.

Delicious with cheese plate. Wine of the evening vs 2019 Dunn Cab.

Just not a memorable wine, good not great. This one misses the mark of being a great Napa Cabernet.

Meh, dark fruit, brooding but no nuance or layers.

Without the high price tag, it’s a 94-96 point wine. For this price, you’d expect more. Nothing compared to a To Kalon wine at similar price point.

Cherry and fruit notes dominating the nose. Wonderfully balanced and restrained on the palate with a clean finish. Will get better with time.
