This bottle was considerably less impressive than my previous tasting a few years ago. Fruit seemed to drop off, finish shorted. Overall average and on the decline.

I opened this after Easter dinner. Odd illustration on label and cork (a duck?). But one of my first experiences with unfiltered Cabernet. Good quality cork smelled normal. Little time to decant in the bottle. Relatively deep, dark maroon colour. (There is a dark-purple hue with a certain angle of sunlight.) Flavourful aroma of black fruit (the aroma is pleasant enough one hardly needs to drink). Flavour on the palate to match, strong at first, but relatively mild and subtle in the aftertaste. The tannins are present and strong enough, but fairly mellowed and not edgy. Reasonably long aftertaste. I like this wine. Cost $18 for a half bottle. Very good to excellent.
On day three, I still love this wine! The aroma of black fruit has not subsided, on the contrary if anything it has intensified (time to breathe?). The colour is just as deep and dark. The crafters of this wine have credited themselves. I would buy this again. This wine's earthiness, experienced in the Spring, makes one want to start the garden and dig in the dirt.

Great nose: green pepper, blackberry, cedar and other black fruit. Medium body, delicate, blackberry, hint of mushrooms and green pepper. A little bit tight even with 3h of decanting.. Finish is not long but overall this is a very good wine.

Huge black fruit, cedar, cigar box and tannins kicked around my palate. Wish I would have held on to this bottle for a few more years. The day after, it opened up, the tannins mellowed, and the fruit came forward.

Dark purple with maroon rim. Some huge tannins on this still, which are fairly dominant. Not real impressed with the fruit, and don't know what to say about this. It's not drinking that great right now, but I think it might fade into tannins in a couple of years.

Delicious nose of blackcurrant, smoke, mint and cedre. Pretty well-defined with a bordeaux profile and some slightly green notes.
