Keith's Christmas Ledbury Bash (The Ledbury, London): Slightly lighter in colour than the 2002. Lightly salty, hint of flour, elegant. Possibly a l;ittle dilute on the finish but I prefer this to the heavierslightly flabby 02. ***1/2

A delicious treat, with aromas and flavors of yeast, salt, bread dough, almonds, and bitter apple. Terrific with a handful of nuts, a chunk of chorizo, and some Manchego.

Chicago Spanish Offline (Habana Libre): Not experienced with this type of wine, but it just didn't work really well for me. Smelled of nailpolish remover & new shoes. Big and alcoholic up front tastes, but the finish was pretty enjoyable.

taste: the pheynl alcohol is a bit too much on the flavor for me, but it then does lean into really nice and pleasant notes of almonds, hazelnuts, and cashew characteristics
overall: has a really long almond finish which saves the wine for me. It's best on the back end and changed my opinion of it overall. Overall though I've yet to be impressed much by sherry, and this didn't impress me much either

Seems to be fading. A very delicate fino, but without the powerful seaside nose of the Bodega Dios Bacos, or the strong flavor of Tio Pepe. With some capers and anchovies, in fact, this one briefly tasted sweet. Faint notes of tart apples, unripe melon, and almonds, mostly in the finish. As with every fino I have ever sipped, this is marvelously versatile with savory foods and makes for splendid summer snack sipper. I will heed the advice of others and try it slightly warmer in the next few days, but at the moment, I prefer the Bodegas Dios Bacos.

Light pale gold in color. Cantelope nose with faint honey notes, light honeydew and white grape hints. Pure and only at the beginning showing a bit of caramel. In the mouth this is a soft wine with a medium to high acidity that is bright and alive. Light salt air on the palate followed by melons, delicate peach and white grape. With some time there is a grassiness that seems to relate to the flor that once protected this fine wine. Full finish that lingers, but pulls you back sooner than expected. 4/5

Nice light golden tone with a strong bouquet of both cantelope melon and almond with a hit of woodiness right near the end. The palate has that salty and creamy quality that I find typical to most finos, but differentiates itself by the strong lemon and almond flavors on the finish. When we first opened it right out of fridge, I have to say that I wasn't an enormous fan, but as it warmed up, I found it quite pleasant, much better with tapas, but enjoyable on its own. 3.5

I love Fino and this is as good as I've had. Nuance, Intensity, lightness, minerality and gobs of that crazy Fino flavor profile.
