This is a very good wine that can be drunk now but has potential for aging.

  • Excellent with dry aged meat. We ate with a 45 day aged prime strip.

Recommend decanting for an hour before. Lots of dark fruit initially, as it sat gained more mouthfeel with notes of tobacco, evolving tannins.

Only problem with this wine is the short finish.

  • Lovely sappy and rich dark berry fruits with additional flavors of cassis and sweet earth. Beautifully balanced by crisp acidity and superb floral lift which leads to a crunchy, mineral-driven finish with hints of dark red spices and sweet violet flowers. This is how a Cali Cabernet should be made and it's the perfect counterpoint between ripe, sun-drenched California fruit and fresh, properly structured intensity. This should age beautifully. 93+
