This was terrific right out of the gate all the way through the last glass. Very well balanced with an acidic oomph on the finish. My last bottle, unfortunately.

Still needed a day of air to come into its own, with lychee, delicate white peach, pear, wet rocks. Relatively mid weight, ethereal. First day was a bit meh with dried fruit, savory minerality, and short finish, but day 2 was better.

I found just a bit of reduction, a good amount of white fruit, and excellent energy. Acidic without being overly tart. This was very youthful and can go a while. I would not say the wine was muscular, but it is certainly a bigger example of Oregon chardonnay. (Having said that, it definitely would not be mistaken for California.)

This seemed a little less reduced than some recent Goodfellows. Good energy, white fruit. Really delicious, and probably a wine that would cruise along for a while.

Off a wine list in Oregon. Decanted. Citrus, apple, pear. Generous and textured, with a stony flavor. Energetic acidity is evident, especially on the finish. We loved this. My first wine from Goodfellow.

This was open and pour - and it was refrigerator temperature at first. Way too cold - it was all lemon and acid. I let it be (that was hard!) for several minutes and as it warmed, the wine balanced out and became much more friendly and open. Still, it’s remarkably citrusy, particularly on the finish. Lovely mouth feel, pretty color, a bit of saline minerality. Nice - but I’ll approach it again 24 hours open and warmed to about 45 degrees and write an addendum.

So much my jam. Lemon merengue (like someone said), hint of apple, a touch of something saline - just wonderful. Almost no tropical notes, which adds to the refreshing nature of this and is kind of a relief from most Chards, great and long acid/finish. None of the phenolic notes so often found. Highly recommend!

Nice composition of chalky, tart lemon meringue, apple and pear skins, and delicate spice tones. Hint of fresh cream and herbs with air, but overall quite tight, with a precise texture. This shows both complexity and delicacy, though at the expense of some mid-palate concentration. That could come with age, and this could use a few years..

an impressive bottle. Really came together at about 90 minutes in the decanter. Salted citrus, pineapple core, green apple skins, fresh herbs, flint, chalk, the slightest touch of vanilla and cream. as good as this is now i think it's best days are 3-5 years down the road.

A touch of flint and smoke hangs over fruit notes of green apple, underripe pineapple, and lime zest. More showy in its fruit on the palate compared to the 2018 Dundee Hills Cuvée I had recently, though with some good chiseled chalky minerality on the finish. I don’t get the saline notes, and found this a little less complex, but still very tasty. Perhaps the most “party-friendly” of the Goodfellow single vineyard chardonnays I’ve had so far.

This is a wine of exceptional purity and focus, especially at this price point. The nose is nice but muted. Soft smells of a summer evening with sea breezes. (Sounds nice. And it is.) Pear blossom. For me, no reduction - a definite plus. The mouth feel is soft as are the flavors. Only on the finish does the wine become even slightly assertive and it’s quite lovely then. The flavors are a slight citrus, like a slightly tart pear. Red apple, soft. Such focus without intensity. The finish is a melange of citrus but it comes on quickly then holds into a lengthy finish. Superb.

Lemon curd, fresh squeezed mandarin orange, florals, and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Mouthwatering, bright and lifted on the palate with jasmine, mandarin orange, lemon drop, and deftly done subtle wood. Stony with snappy fruit, and beautiful inner florals. Bright and clean. It's mid weighted at most, has deceptive power and dry extract, yet remains lithe. Mouthwateringly clean finish. Outstanding.

More substantial on the palate here than the '17 version, and the tart fruit I mentioned earlier is amped up a bit here. A slight reductive note on the nose. I don't know how Marcus would rate the vintages, but off these two bottles, I would say that the '18 has the same flavor profile as the '17, but just seems to have more of it.

nice acidity and balance, maybe a tiny bit of reduction? Pleasant and enjoyable though it seemed just a bit tight

Drank over 2 nights. From memory, no formal note but very clean and pure, with vibrant acidity. Really enjoyed.

Another great bottle. Same as prior note, though I left a hefty pour in the bottle and tried it day 3, even better, more complete and complex.

Similar tasting notes this time. Reduction is a little more prominent - matchstick is obscuring the fruit. Needs air.

Wow this is a very impressive Oregon Chard.
Light golden with an outstanding bouquet - matchstick flint, lemon, white flowers
Palate, however, is a bit hollow on the mid-palate. But the aroma!! Wow.

Flinty, minerally, citrusy. Burgundian in style, overdelivers for the price point.
