This was a gift from a friend and what a nice gift. We thought it might have been over the hill but it definitely is not. The aromas are mild with a bit of creamy Meyer lemon but there's lots of flavors with lemon zest, honeysuckle, nuttiness, and light toasty oak.

Signature Tour & Tasting at Robert Mondavi: Aged 10 months in 42% new French oak barrels. Pale yellow color with a greenish tint. Aromas of banana, coconut, apple and honeysuckle; a little toast apparent with vigorous swirling. Flavors of apple, lemon oil and citrus, coconut and vanilla. Hint of toast and apple on the finish. Very nice. $40/bottle. 91-92 pts.

Brad brought over to celebrate Labor Day with Jill, Brill and Rob. Really buttery, rich and oak driven in style - not really my thing. Some enjoyable fruit and tropical action - pineapple, cotton candy and lightly roasted pear. The palate is weighty and pretty over the top. Not recommended for me but everyone else enjoyed it.

Pours golden with abundant aromas of pear pulp, citrus, and some leafy vegetation. Full and viscous with moderate acidity. Heavy on the pear with citrus rind stapled to it. I detect the leafy greens to be something from a tobacco pouch. The finish lingers dry with some tart green apple fruit. A bold wine.

Developed into a very nice Chardonnay over an hour, chilled. Nice vanilla and oak tones on the finish. Fresh fruit up front and seems ready to drink now! Not overly complicated but a nice wine I would recommend to others and would serve at a summer picnic.
