  • Deep-dark reddish-purple in color; essentially opaque. Initially reticent nose which eventually developed with decanting & extended airing into a full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, spices, herbs, cocoa, tar, leather, tobacco, olives, pepper, some musky notes & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, cocoa, herbs, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing (1 hour+) but easily needs & will benefit with additional aging (a minimum of 10 years) to develop fully at which time may merit an even higher score (93+). An indicative blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon & 8% Syrah.

  • Decanted 2h.

Sandalwood, black olive, cherry, mexican chocolate with a hint of pepper spice, clove, black tea.

Great pairing with a dry aged tomahawk & potatoes.
