My first bottle of four and truly loved this wine. Think time will only benefit but it showed wonderfully at a wine event. Dark and deep black fruit profile (blackberry and blueberry) that grab your tongue. A really great wine that should continue to develop in the bottle. Loved this and my first bottle of mine from this producer that I have had the pleasure to share with others.

This is one of the better QPR for a cab in California you will find. The mouthfeel on this is pretty awesome and the finish if long and very pleasant. Black fruit, vanilla, oak, and graphite minerality. A great mountain Cabernet from Sonoma.

This is a nice California Cab from the Sonoma Coast. Immediately recognizable sense of place, with a distinctive CA Cab nose, including black cherries, blackberries, cassis, leather and roasted green bell pepper. On the palate you get similar notes plus some oak. It’s got grip on the backend. Drank over two days and maybe as good if not better on day two.
Overall a good Cab, but does not warrant a higher score.
Outstanding wine on all counts. Vibrant aromas of blackberry , black cherry, forest floor and licorice. Big black fruit on the palate with silky tannins and a mineral-laced 15-second finish.

Drank in Winter Park with inferior stemware, but still hit the mark with lots of upside. Reminiscent of middle of the fairway classic cabs. Good fruit, balance and not too tannic. Lots of upside yet and no rush.

PnP with lousy Airbnb stems. Deeply aromatic without being effusive, dense blueberry, liquid violets, hint of tar. Full-bodied with potent blue fruit, violets, light new oak. Like oakville with a touch more mountain structure, moderate chalky ripe tannins, medium light acid. A bit linear on PnP, but overall as good a QPR as you’ll find in cabs.
This was a bit more linear than the 14, but the quality more than makes up for the difference in depth.

This wine surprised me on the upside. One of the best cabs I’ve had in this price range as of late. Aromas of forest floor, cherry pie, spice and licorice. On the palate, very tasty black cherries and black raspberries with some sweet minerality and silky tannins. I will certainly look to purchase more.

My grandmother - half Irish, half Portuguese (the Portuguese part not her mother’s choice) - lived in Lowell in the 80’s and 90’s. I remember vividly her apartment. Cedar, moth balls, black tea, and plastic, the Miss USA competition on the boxy color TV with the rounded glass screen, and falling asleep to the discord of traffic, doors slamming, and police sirens. And I remember going to Ames and Kmart, and the satisfaction of her putting a box of Little Debbie Star Crunch in the Market Basket shopping cart. Skidz for Christmas, the ones I picked out, made me so happy.
But she was always so mad at me for fidgeting. I really remember that. A constant stream of “stop moving around!!!!” Never proud of my mediocre grades, and resented, I think, the relative freedom my parents granted me - no sticks on the knuckles from Nuns who whipped her only child into shape. And I really don’t think she ever thought I’d make something of myself.
Well, look at me now Nana! I’m out in California drinking a goddamn beautiful wine. I bet they don’t even have wine this good in heaven. Or wherever you are.

Very impressive. I got a lot of graphite and even a bit of Brett right at open, but that blew off over a couple hours in the decanter. Excellent and very concentrated black currant, blackberry, with some menthol, graphite, and cedar to round it out. Pretty hot still so maybe hold a year or two more if you still have it, but it was already integrated enough to be really enjoyable.

This is a great wine and bats way out of its league in terms of QPR. Dense mountain fruit, spicy oak, bell pepper, other spices all unravel in the glass. Buy this up

Beautiful structure and a taut core possessed by this mountain Cabernet. Rocking mountain acidity, deep dark fruits, river rock, licorice and herbs are in an outstanding harmony. Nice high but pleasant tannins with a long finish. This bottle is on fire!
Bottle decanted 3 hours. Purple. Opaque. So sharp and focused. Loads of lit tobacco, melted licorice, charred oak (slight), dark fruits and peppermint. Medium plus body and acidity, bright on the palate, adding mint chocolate, sautéed herbs, graphite and grainy tannins with a good minty finish. Hell of a QPR!

My this is nice wine. Big body, loads of fruit, open for business but you can tell more is there waiting to unravel. Nose of sweet fruit, spearmint and sage, bay laurel, anis and gravel. Loads of dark fruit like currents and raspberries. Nice tannic structure and a long finish. Some heat but it works in a warming way with the size of this wine. Extracted but still has personality. Nicely done. Better than many $100 wines.
Outshines the 2014 Immortal Slope in most every way. This 2016 brings freshness, vigor and energy typical to top Sonoma Cabs. Lush and rich with warm blueberry pie, cassis and moist soil aromatics leading to blackberry, plum preserve and black licorice underpinned by a graphite mineral presence. The finish is most seductive. Presenting notions of black forest cake and cherry kirsch. Age worthy for sure. Already showing all the signs of a great QPR California Cab.
Thanksgiving Napa tasting (Napa Grill (Zurich)): Pretty extracted and jammy dark cherry fruit, but in combination this still managed to keep everything in check. Herbal touch, minty. A meaty dimension, cedar wood and coal add to the aromatic diversity. Pretty lush and decadent. Fresh palate, well-integrated with a nice tannic structure.

Fantastic wine. Even at PnP it was so juicy and ready to go! However at 1 hour in the decanter, it started to show itself better and balanced. Lots of delicious structured dark mountain fruits, melted black licorice, some herbs and slate. Velvety on the palate, sweet tannins, terrific finish. Not shocked at JD’s 96. It could get close to it with time.
Really ripe nose of blue fruit to it. At a slope of 55 degrees, hence the name slope. An amazing depth on the palate to it. That is really darn good drinking Cab. Massive but darn good.

Second bottle and second night just okay. Change the label and marketing doesn’t make it worth the higher price.
