Medium light red. Warm, earthy, funky red fruit with hints of American oak. Delicious dry warm earthy red fruit flavours and a nice dry slightly tannic finish.

Worried that this wine might be past its best at 16 years old but it performed admirably. Still holding a deep colour, and plenty of fruit on the palate. It’s a big wine so drink it with some food. Not sure I could have distinguished this from Barossa Shiraz.

10 years storage s/b enough to exert the character for this lable. However, the variation of odor is there but feeble and tannic is still not tender. it's a awkward postion for his perfermonce in between Australian shiraz and northern Rhone syran especially consider the pricing of 65 USD

Very closed out of the bottle. After 1 hr in the glas it started to Open up into a very elegant fruit forward Syrah that reminded me more of a french then new world wine. Sad that it was my last bottle

Extremely dark, opaque. On the nose, attractive sweet jam and a slight woodiness. Quite dry with smoke and leather notes dominating. A bit of prune as well. The wine is medium-bodied and seems like most of the tannin has softened. It is likely improve with some short-term cellaring but is drinking quite well now as it is well balanced and integrated. It finishes very long with a pronounced bitterness but at the very end the ripe fruit also makes an appearance. Very good but expensive.

Dark and brooding, black stone fruit and a little chalk. Plums, violets and dark chocolate. Lacked the loam I get in most Chilean wines ( a good thing). Excellent wine.

Syrah tasting - My #11, Group #9. Opaque black/red. Big rich spicy canned black rasberry aroma. Rhick rich mouthful of dark chocolate covered black cherries. Slightly hot finish. Slight anise note. 12/05

Very deep and dark. Impressive complex nose, so many spices and funghi. Strong attack, perfectly balanced, powerful all over, never ending finish. Won't look bad on a high end Syrah (or Shiraz) tasting. Beat an other chilean (EQ Syrah) by 2 points.

Very nice balance for a big syrah, and easy to drink more than just a glass without becoming boring.

A couple of Syrah Blind Tastings; 12/6/2005-12/12/2005 (Chicagoland IL): Blind tasting. Young overripe fruit on nose - as New World as can be. Massive fruit with lots of oak and tannins. Sweet finish from fruit and oak.
