Even with it being two years since I last had this, there is still a good amount of intensity to the aromatics of grapefruit, lemon peel, green apples, saline, white fruits, peaches, sea breeze, spring flowers, and crushed rocks. It's not just the intensity that gets me, but the depth and layering of the nose. There is just so much going on and it takes a bit to get it all in. The Medium bodied feel shows off the intensity of the nose, but slightly toned down while the high acidity is racy and mouth puckering. This is one of my favorite white wines in the world and this one has dialed itself up a notch since the last time I had it. It's far from a typical Albarino, but that's what makes it unique and great.

Pale lemon. Med+ intensity. Fresh cut grass, lemon, gooseberry & fresh tropical notes. An off flavour in the background reminds of something both egg rot and sulphur. This makes the wine a bit dull overall. Creamy texture. High acidity. Med body and 13% abv. Med finish. Simple.

Insanely young but one of the most expressive and lit vintages of this I've had. Grapefruit heading to michelada. Lovely acidity and a briney aspect. And then finishes incredibly bright, cheerful and polished. Great structure.

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over a few hours --
NOSE: intense and expressive; white grapefruit dominates, with a surprising creamy note in the background.
BODY: medium-light bodied; somewhat dull pale yellow color.
TASTE: high acidity; grapefruit; salty; dry; very zippy; I imagine this would age well the way a nice dry Riesling would; extremely impressive. This is so intense at this point, it's probably best to Hold for at least a couple years.

Tasted blind I would have said this was a cheap verdelho or Sauvignon Blanc. Pale lemon. Tropical notes, gooseberry, high acidity. No depth. Simple. Honestly, this does not taste like an old vines Albariño. Very Bad.

This took a few hours to open up. Once it did, it was Albariño that goes to 11. The nose was jam-packed with lemon peels, white peaches, saline, nectarine, briney notes, crushed rocks, white flowers, and green apples. This nose is just electric right now with great depth. The Medium bodied feel shows off that depth from the nose with bracing, high acidity. The acidity just shreds the palate right now. There is a great feel and depth beneath that acidity that will need another 2-4 years to settle down.

Grapefruit and citrus dominates. Grassy/herbal on the palate. Blinded I would guess Sauv Blanc. I enjoyed the refreshing acidity and minerality.
