Nose: Somewhat non-descrpt with lemon and some spiciness. Palate: Tempered use of oak with candied lemon (esp on finish), decent acidity, and some very subtle mint traces on the mid palate. Good mouthfeel and a good value at $9 on clearance.

In a lot of ways, this is a classic yet typical CA Chardonnay. Aromas of oak and peaches. Where it shines is in it's balance. It's very soft on the palate yet there is also a zesty acidity. It's straight forward and a little simple, but very well made. Probably a little past peak.

Popped and poured. This wine exhibited a light golden color with a nose filled with aromas of peaches, pears and creme brulee with hints of pineapple. On the palate, ripe pears and apples were prominent with hints of vanilla and pineapple on the finish. Despite the Barrel Fermented moniker, the oak was not very present. An overall well-made Chardonnay. HS90

Full in the mouth with tropical fruit, vanilla and honeysuckle that mellows and brings it all together nicely. Crisp and sweet, but not overwhelming. The finish was very clean, refreshing and to the point. No oak, just fruit. Just as good as the '05. If only every chard was this good, I might drink more of it. I should stock up.

Surprisingly good. Light and clean with lots of peaches and flowers. Light oak. Pleasant taste for a heat wave.

Paella Brenda--great domestic chard--juicy and spicy without being cloying or overly oaky
