Remains a really consistent and interesting bottle. Not as much snappy acidity from years past, but it makes up for that with increased complexity. A perennial winner in my book

Starting to fade now, with fruity elements dropping out in favor of a more tertiary profile. A little high pitched, almost metallic but not quite. I think this is best drunk young but it’s one of my absolute favorite domestic roses

This rosé continues to shine. I managed to keep my hands off 5 bottles from last summer so get to see it develop with bottle age. More complex and serious than last year but with a little bit of fading fruit. Still pretty leesy and with some exotic notes. I love it. One of the most interesting domestic rosés available

Classics and Curiosities: I am posting this here where most CT users have logged their bottles as a rose, but after tasting it blind with a group, it just made more sense for this to be skin-contact white, and a little more research suggests that the copper-salmon like color indicates that this is in fact a "Ramato" style wine, with a melange of delicious melon fruit offset by a touch of herbs and peach skin. Plus the all-white label from Pax, who also sells a separate, cheaper (inferior) Rose that is actually a Rose. One of my contributions to the curiosity theme, I especially liked this with the cool tenderloin+caper vinaigrette. Opened for dinner the night before, with more air on day 2 it softened into something that could be drunk by the quart. I don't see this improving in the bottle. 90-91.

I was expecting something sharper and leaner based on a memory of a Wind Gap Trousseau Gris from a few years ago, but this was a terrific well balanced wine that reminded me of the best (least pink) examples of Bedrock Rose. Compelling stuff and there's a few bottles at K&L so I bought some more.

Super leesy, complex, with tangerine oil and honeydew, young strawberries, even some herbaceousness. This is more thought provoking than a porch pounder and in my opinion, outside of Sonoma Hillsides, one of the best wines Pax makes. Best vintage of it I’ve tried so far

Another lovely bottle. These have held up very well so far, gaining weight and complexity. Stellar stuff.

Fantastic rose, super quaffable. Going to be impossible to keep my hands off these all summer.
