Delicious wine and great color! I don't know wine rating stuff but let's go with medium+ body? Black and blue fruit, earthy cedar, and a touch of tobacco

Smoke, old wood, violet petals, ripe blackberry, ripe black currant, cinnamon, allspice, dark chocolate and dried hot chili pepper on the nose. The bone dry palate shows more red fruits instead of dark fruits, especially ripe red cherries and ripe raspberries. It also adds secondary flavors of tobacco and vanilla while keeping the smoke from the nose. Finally, there's a crispness throughout the palate that is uncharacteristic of red blends from SLO/Paso; and really balances this out. It makes this wine actually feel fresh. For a region that has comitted so many over-extracted, RS-drenched crimes in the name of "red blends", that alone is impressive.
Medium + body with medium - tannin and medium acid. I think this is ready to drink right now at age 4. It really won't benefit from any further aging. Overall, I am happy with this for what it is. Again, there are a lot of $30 red blends from Paso that just plain anger me.

Wait! This is a solid bottle, but young. First day, this was good and had strong fruit. Second day? Much smoother, richer fruit and umami flavors. Would either hold or decant further bottles. So much more left in the bottle.

Rather pedestrian Paso Robles wine. In fact it bothers me that this is a wine that is released purely on a catchy name. This wine is purple fruit with a rather sweet mid pallete that is frankly not desireable for my pallete. I like the region but have had my share of bad ones and this is not far from that tier. I have had really respectable Booker wines. I ask why on this one.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of tea, black olive, raspberry, vanilla and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, raspberry and vanilla with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted one hour. It needs it. Good medium tannins, big rich fruit finish. This wine can age.

Decanted 2 hours and vigorously aerated. Very thin and young early in the glass but it opened fairly quickly. Lots of fruit, overwhelmed by raspberry. Not much else, but mellowed and became quite drinkable. I had my doubts but it grew on me. Easily finished, but I remain neutral for the price.

2h air, based on other TNs. Deep purple color. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, tobacco and baking spice, with just a hint of blueberry. Black fruit forward on the palate, with hints of raspberry, and streaks of earth and butterscotch through the mid-palate and finish. Robust, but polished, this is big and satisfying with enough complexity to rise a bit above the ordinary.

Enjoyed over two nights, nose of black cherry, blue berry, and hints of roasted coffee grounds, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, young-needs 2 years to be its best or two hour decant, rich fruit, almost mouth filling fruit, touch simple, easy to sip and savor, reasonable price, and a medium/long finish, picture uploaded.

Deep purple color. Wow, these waves of blackberries and blueberries with a smooth, inviting appeal, along with eucalyptus, violets and cocoa. Full and smooth on the palate with velvety but structured tannins, and the vibrant acidity is killer. Tart blueberries, tangy black currants, the fruit is tart and deep but laced with beefy, savory, peppery tones. Eucalyptus, white pepper, violets, tar, clove, there’s also this stony, mineral, earth depth. Fan-friendly but complex and nerdy, too – a win-win, and a lot of value. Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, aged 18 months in 60% new oak.

Bright purple color. Juicy and deep on the nose with blueberry pie, roasted figs, along with earth, smoky, beefy tones, with mocha and toffee – a lot going on. The palate shows a suave a smooth mouthfeel with lively acidity and dusty tannic structure. Black currant and blueberry fruit mixes well with complex tones of gravelly road, mesquite, coffee grounds, black tea. Concentrated and age-worthy, but vibrant as well. Gorgeous stuff. 77% Cab with 11 % Petit Verdot, 8% Petite Sirah, 3% Syrah and 1% Malbec, aged 18 months in 70% new French oak.

Unremarkable. The nose is restrained showing metallic character with an under tone of cherry fruit and on the pallet medium tannins but no structure and barely any finish… I’ve had previous villages of this one which were much more remarkable, but I’ll pass on this one.

Did not care for this effort. Not a particularly enjoyable blend. Structure was lacking and it remained monotonous across the palate. Low acidity on the finish did not help.

Just a overall well made wine from BookerVineyards at a reasonable price point under $30. I understand from others that this is a Cabernet, Petite Verdot and Syrah blend. Medium bodied loaded with fruit in the nose and drinks with smooth tannins and overall rounded taste.

I am in the fanciest restaurant in Cody, Wy. A birthday treat for myself, both this meal and this solo camping trip. Also alone in this restaurant, just a table away, is Kanye West.
"Hey man whatcha doing here alone like me?" Kanye hollers.
I respond, more seriously than necessary, and more seriously than my mood: "Well I'm 40 years old today, and I'm trying to get my bearings, you know?"
"Ya man I sure do. Come join me."
So I grab this 2019 bottle of Booker and sit at a small table in the corner of the room with Kanye. A meal shared between strangers.
What did I expect? Flamboyancy? Boldness? Not really, I expected what I got: pleasant, approachable, and a restrained, yet present, sharpness.
No notes, but really good cab dominant blend. It’s a crowd pleaser, but also pretty enjoyable. Probably my favorite $30 paso bottle along with Halter CDP. 91+

Really inviting and aromatic, offering black and blue fruit, mocha, soft oak, and a touch of pencil shavings. Excellent already but I could see this shining brighter with a few years in the cellar.

Retail $30. Big. Ass. Bottle. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot. A bit of a kitchen sink wine with all five Bordeaux varieties with a healthy dose of Syrah thrown in. Named after his parents, whom he feels would appreciate an affordable "great" wine, farmer and winemaker Eric Jensen makes this wine with the singular purpose of challenging the notion that an outstanding wine can't be made at this price point without considerable manipulation or additives. Whoa, that's a heady charge but Jensen achieves it, at least to this knucklehead. Medium to dark color in the glass with a joyous nose of blackberry, plum, black pepper, a bit of flint, and a truckload of verve. Yowza. Past the lips? Even better, if that is possible. Holy cow, and a Whoa. Great fruit (see above), tartness, balance, and soft, integrated tannins. Sure, you could hold onto this wine for another 3-5 years, at least, but holy goodness, why would you? Whoa.
