Aerated to wide bottom decanter for three hours. A wine of good structure, with a fairly restrained style. Ripe and tasty, this is likely a couple of years away from falling squarely into my wheelhouse. Dark red fruits, dry, medium>med+ body, balanced, developing. In its current form, it's easily recommended
The nose is dominated by bright red cherries with some blueberry and violets, and the palate has the same. Following that initial berry burst are cedar, incense, loam, and supple leather. The finish is delightful and lingers long. All in all a great bottle with well articulated notes that can be picked out and is quite enjoyable as a harmonious whole.

45m air. Pale ruby color. Aromas of sour cherry, leather, tar, mushroom and tobacco. Intense sour cherry on the palate. Tight, with firm chalky tannins that could use a few years to resolve.

Four hour decant then a classic Sangiovese. Starts out with cherries but fades to leafy tobacco at the end. Classic autumnal fruit. Fine balance, mushroom savouriness comes out well. Excellent wine.

Nice aroma of mushrooms and cherries. Good acid up front, light bodied, finish is flat right now. Tastes like a wine that was good in cask until it was filtered. I'll wait a few years on my other bottles.

Decent. A little lighter than expected, but good balance and great acidity makes it a nice match with food. Did not change much over 3 days. Dark plum and cherry fruit.

At this stage, pleasant, light on its feet, cherry and strawberry forward fruit in a light-medium frame. A good tasting everyday picnic wine worth $14-$15 a bottle drinks like a cru Beaujolais. I personally don't see this as a long term cellar option. Maybe it will prove me wrong.

My first one of the 2019's. This vintage is the year that Kerry and I were married a top the Galatrona tower, so I was eager to give this a try - even though it is clearly a bit too soon. Crushed dark fruits, violets and hints of rhubarb and earth on the nose. Full-bodied, rich and velvety in texture. There's very good intensity to the tangy plum and blackberry fruit here. Noticeably tannic and firm, with a lively acidity. The finish shows good length, with drying tannins and a lingering note of garrigue. A fine, well-structured Torrione. The 2018 and 2019 are much more "Super-Tuscan" in character than prior vintages. Slightly angular at the moment, but should round out nicely with a couple of years in the cellar. Will be stocking up on this vintage to serve alongside 2019 Galatrona with anniversary dinners! 50+5+12+16+8=91

Had a glass after a long day of travel.
Decanted and opened up.
No detailed notes, but pretty good wine.

Solid Italian red. Nothing unique per se, but it drank nicely right from the first sip.
