I drank and enjoyed this two years ago in Rome, and so was happily surprised to find it on a wine list in Craignure, on the isle of Mull, Scotland. As far as I can tell, another two years of bottle age have had no effect, which is not necessarily bad news. Still medium-weight, nicely acidic, with a nutty and mineral complexity. So popular at our table that we ordered another bottle to drink with dessert and then were sad to find that was the last one.

Aromas of honey, peach, and freshly fallen leaves. It has body and character to last. It could use a couple more years in the cellar to reach its height, but it's lovely now. I'm glad I have more.

Timorasso 100% da servire tra 11 e 12 gradi ma da bere sui 13/14. Spiazzante nell'aromaticità vegetale tra miele e zafferano. Molto elegante e fine. Alcool praticamente non pervenuto. Dolcezza ed acidità appena accennate.

Slightly oxidative in style, something I generally am not that big a fan of, but this wine pulls it off in a way that I can really appreciate.
Aromas of honey, baked apple with nutmeg and saffron. Medium bodied mouthfeel with lively acidity and herbal bitter aftertaste. Still quite fresh acidity. Paired really well with a saffron risotto.

A big confident wine, even at such a young age. I got the typical honeyed stone fruits, bee pollen, and flashes of saffron, but when these are young there is a mineral/chemical spectrum that really shows with a lot of flash and style - think sea salt, metallic dust, mineral oil. Very leesy and round, there is always a maturity and quietly confident presence. One of my favourite whites and divine with rabbit ragu.

Amber coloured, rich and luscious. Nose and palate of ripe soft apples, apricot, honey and autumn spices. A really lusicous mouthfeel but cut through by a decent acidity which keeps everything in balance

A Derthona made from Timorasso grapes from diverse limestone and chalk plots around Monleale in Colli Tortonesi. Fermentation and aging in steel tanks--very clean and precise. Nose of almonds, green apple, some flowers. Fine tannins, with lots of apple, lemon zest, mandarine, sea salt and bitter hazelnut in the finish. Wine expands with air contact, best to cold decant 1 hour before consuming.

Florale Nase, Kamille.

At Pianostrada in Rome: Delicious. Moderate acidity. Honey aroma and flavor on top of a mineral base, with a bitter edge that emerges as the wine airs. I don't think that there are great layers of complexity waiting to be revealed, but it is a very satisfying drink nevertheless. 100% timorasso.

Gloriously rich, albeit more forward than I'd expect. This is such a reliable wine and producer. Delicious, but I'd drink this soon.
