A very good Chianti with resplendent cherries & raspberries cradled in herb rubbed fine grained leather. Elegant and went very nicely with wagyu tritip and stuffed portobellos.
Still good on day 2.

This needed some time to open up (2 hour decant) but then it was great. Love the structure and finish. Enough body for most dinners. Wonderful with chicken and pasta with red sauce. Great value.

We went out to dinner last night and ordered this $21 Sangiovese ($65 at the restaurant ). I did not take notes but loved the wine. At 4 years of age it was showing plenty of earthy, tertiary notes along with some fruit and oak influence. The leather fingerprint of this varietal was abundant and the tannins had really integrated. Acidity was en pointe and the wine had a lovely mid length finish. Well worth the price of entry even at a restaurant. 91 points from me and a drink till 2025 window. 5 stars.

Medium ruby red in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of red fruit aromas of cherries, raspberries & red plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, minerals, spices, tobacco, tomato leaf & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, cranberries & mulberries with herbs, some spices, minerals & a hint of oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR.

Tasted BTG from the Italian Village (Chicago) wine list. Ruby colored, medium bodied, bright cherry and raspberry fruits with notes of floral, earth and tobacco on a moderate soft finish.
At with pizza, which was a good match; much better with food than on its own. Medium garnet color. Offers cherry, parmesan cheese, clay pot and tomato. Medium bodied, velvety texture, fine-grained tannins. A bit austere and muted on the palate: very dusty tart red fruit.

Damp earth, berry and mushroom scents, hits the palate with wood, cherry and beef jerkey flavors, full bodied with nice depth, dark and young, layered, this might actually age well, best with beef bolognese and pasta

Found this in my cellar and decided to try with burgers on the grill. Very fruit forward with tart dark cherry and oak. Low tannins, medium acidity gave a bit of a pucker but it went down very well.

Deep garnet red color in the glass. Subdued nose. Fruit forward with primary tart cherry notes. Soft tannins, medium acidity, medium body. Great casual wine that shows very well for the price.

Attractive aromas of black cherries and raspberries over earthy notes of conifer, cedar, and leather. The palate is firmly structured and nicely integrated, with dusty, plummy flavors that are cut by orange citrus acidity and a whiff of ash on the back end. This has a wonderful presence about it. A lovely drop.

Good fruit on the nose, with notes of dark plum and raspberry. Fruit gets lost on the palate, with notes of unsweetened chocolate dominating.

Leather, sauteed greens, menthol on the nose. Nice tannins, almost sweet finish, a little bubblegum texture.

Decent bottle. Flavor was not strong, maybe a little weak, but ok.
