Mostly 1998s (Washington, DC): Love the nose, with raspberries and strawberries, a taut, crunchy feel with flowers and chalk dust. The palate is rich but tart with crunchy red apples and wild strawberries and raspberries. Chalky, saline-infused, nervy, but generous with the fruit and depth. Love it. This should age nicely.

Beautifully expressive tonight, brioche , leman peel, hint of lime red apple skin with subtle spice and a powdered mineral mix on the nose, energetic mouth feel with medium plus acidity and a long finish

Pretty with a richness of grapefruit, green apple and mango. Very interesting showing for this wine, more approachable and ready then the 2014 which is a gorgeous wine, one of my best wines of 2022 also.

I rarely get anything interesting on the nose of a young Champagne, but this one is captivating as I am getting lemon zest and brioche. There is a beautiful balance of acidity and fruit on the palate. Pineapple and orange rind and a finish that really lasts.

Celebrating the 4th this was nice and crisp with tart apple and lots of citrus. A little light on the mouse, good character, enjoyed by everyone but a bit too much tart citrus for my tastes.

Had this at my going away party at work with some Indian BBQ. Maybe not the best choice of food for this delicate wine, but definitely a champers worth the celebration. Medium golden in the glass. Aromas of fruit and lees aging blend together beautifully - first some bruised peach and apple come together with brioche, then the crushed-rock minerality strikes big time. The palate is refined, not rich in anyway, but offers a ton of complexity. Not all these layers are detectable now as the wine is young as fuck, but I'm sure this will just keep going and going. Not better than the Petit Meslier in my opinion, but equally as interesting.

shy at first. Young, lots of acid, nice apple flavors underneath. Opens up after 30 minutes, thhe ripe apple and a little cherry flavor come to the front, the acid continues to support the wine. Another good vintage of this wine.

Disgorged December 2020, 50/50 Pinot and Chard with 4 grams of dosage. Doing the math, this got about 4.5 years on the lees. Damn, this is really good, the Chardonnay (from the plot called Les Chemins d'Epernay) and the Pinot Noir (from the plot called Maison Rouges). The Chardonnay vines are older, planted in 1957, whereas the Pinot Noir was planted in 1983. The nose smells chalky, what I sometimes call pounded rock--it has that chalky signature joined by a white floral note. The core of the wine is really driven by a mix of tangerine and lime, a bright citrusy core that I could even say is like a fresh squeezed ripe tangerine with a kick of lime cutting through it. Where the Pinot Noir comes through is in the structure of the wine, as there is a good spine here, like a cranberry/raspberry red fruit that tucks it all in. There is such a wealth of flavor here, with the necessary structure and acid to make a complete wine. In sum, what this wine shows for me is the deft skill of Aurélien Laherte in getting all of this great flavor to come through. And, in part this reminded initially as what you might find in Vilmart Grand Cellier d'Or, with the tangerine, lime and chalk, but where this wine diverges from that one is the stronger imprint of red fruit character. Straight up pure and delicious, and this was a test drive of the 2015 to see if I wanted to source more. I do!

Citrus with more depth than his other NV bottlings. Enjoyable now with an hour of air. Upside over the mid term. No note taken. Score may be low. 93+
