My first 'Generations' ever. Grapey, with big fruit at the pnp...slow ox'd cork out in the cellar for 2 hours and it worked! Taken to HMC's for dinner and enjoyed over 2-3 hours when it really settled in. Dark purple in the glass. Basic Napa Cab nose. Nice red/black fruit, balanced and has some nice weight to it. Just not enough to drink deeper or with a higher score. Seems just a tad generic, if that makes sense? This is, like many '19s, immediately accessible if you so choose. A nice wine at the discounted price I obtained it at of about $88. I wouldn't pay much more for it. Three left in the cellar, it'll be nice to see how they age and if they develop any further complexity.
On the nose, cherry pie, vanilla and oak. Initial sips were black cherry, vanilla and plum. This started out a bit too sweet for my taste, but tapered off a bit as it opened up. Notes of tobacco and leather came through and this had a pleasant finish with more pie crust and dark berry notes.
Med+ bodied, soft acidity and tannins, and a little on the sweeter side. Very smooth and easy drinking. This was an enjoyable bottle and great to pair with Pierogies.

Another solid Raymond bottle. Pop and pour.

Love this wine. Big but well done. Smoke, dark berries, plum, spice, dark chocolate and floral notes. Medium plus finish.
