Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
Although not be design, I have had three bottles of this wine spaced six year apart. This last bottle was similar to the others (although I must confess, my memory is not that good). Very good bottle of wine, although not outstanding. Benefitted from decanting in a small bottom decanter. No reason (at all) to hold.

These old Craufords are good, but I prefer the Maroons that were produced from those grapes in later years. This 2004 is probably just past peak, to my palate, but is still drinking well.

Did not take notes - serverd from a 1.5L and opened bottle 30 minutes before consuming but did not decant. Wine has softened - on nose, black cherry, red currants & a little tobacco. On palate, cassis, black cherry, red currants. Medium body, good acids & medium+finish. 90-91 range.

Decanted for about an hour. Color dark garnet. Nose predominantly black cherry. Palate tart, tangy. Very tannic to the point of being bitter. Dry and harsh on the finish. This bottle was not showing well, at least for my palate. 5,13,13,5=86

Decent, sort of dark, California Cabernet. Definitely benefited from breathing for a bit (I will be tempted to decant the next one). Not very subtle (to my palate). Neat, but not gaudy.

Decanted for over an hour. Cork had lots of tartar on on it. Consistent with other mountain fruit. Color nice dark purple. Nose was not big, but rather subtle and elegant (dark fruits, oak). The flavor was medium to full bodied, tannins still present, good balance, with a lingering finish. 50,5,12,15,6=88

Dark, opaque red. Plums, blackberries, dark cherry and skittles aromas with only hints of oak. Ripe fruit on the palate balanced by restrained oak, relatively smooth, slightly green tannins and just enough acidity to pull it all together. Really seems to need some air or more time in the cellar to show it's best.

Popped and poured some and decanted some for a few hours. Fruit forward cab right out of the bottle. Very plummy. Very smooth and a little heat. With some air time this becomes VERY sweet. Definitely tasting bright fruit, plum, and oak, and some slightly bitter but pleasing coffee. Very, very smooth and the heat disappears. This is drinking very well right now. Another few years will make this even better. If you like sweet cabs this is for you. Great QPR from WTSO again @ $19.99 a bottle.

Let breath for about 2.5 hrs. A very nice dark chocalate nose and initial taste in this wine. Nice dark fruit (blackberry) finished with a pleasant tannin taste at the end, just enough to taste in the back of your throat. Very well balanced, worth every penny.

Other than a slightly pruny nose, this is a solid cabernet and it is nice to see most folks agree. Tannins are nicely integrated, fruit is rich, finish is smooth, and a second glass beckons on valentines day and olympic luge runs.

Not pop-n-pour at this point. Very green out of the bottle, mellowed with each glass over 4+ hours and was just starting to get good when the bottle was empty. Solid berry fruit balanced against bell pepper, very palate-coating, finishes smoother than the entry would lead you to believe.

We had this wine right after an '04 Columbia Crest Reserve Cab (the '04 vintage of the WS 2009 Wine of the Year). This wine showed off the fruit much better than the Columbia Crest, which was over-oaked. The Crauford had a nice dark berry finish that lasted for 20+ seconds. I like this style of Napa Cab, nice balance.

Great wine. Still needs to be decanted for ~ 1 hour. Light oak and dark fruits on the nose. Dark red color. Licorice, mint & dark fruits on the palate. Nice acidity / fruit / tanin balance. This wine is great with food (had with grilled ribeyes). Long, refreshing finish. Excellent QPR and I generally don't like CA cabs.

Give this an hour of air before serving. Dark purple color with nose of black fruit, cocoa, and traces of spice and oak. Big and firm on the palate, with sweet black fruit up front, some chocolate and anise in the middle and spicy vanillin on a medium finish. Good QPR for fruit sourced just below Howell Mountain appellation.

Although we were too far gone to attempt a serious tasting note by this point, I'll try it anyway. This was the last bottle opened at Mariapalooza and everyone was in a really, really good mood by now. Consistent with your serious Cali Cabs, this wine has some serious weight to it. The flavors, though a bit extracted, were still on the bright side (not too jammy). But what got my (and others') attention with the dark chocolate and cinnamon spice on the back half of this. Really luscious, full bodied and spicy, this is a kick-ass Napa Cab (from what I remember).

Big dense, chewy Napa Cab. The nose provides dark fruit, cigar box and the color is a deep purple. This wine had quite a bit of fruit but had layers of chocolate, earthy tones and spice notes that made it that kind of wine that makes you think with each sip. As others have mentioned this paired nicely with a grilled NY Strip. My wife, who prefers some age on her wines was not as impressed but I will save my last bottle for 3-5 years at which time it will soften and evolve.

1.5hr decant in med-base @68F. COLOR- looks like dark, red Cabernet juice. NOSE- uh oh -- cedar-oak in that way I find so cloying; clove, stewed dark fruits, oak-vanilla, coconut suntan lotion, and a little green pepper; definitely not my favorite profile for a wine bouquet. PALATE- stewed plums and clove, sour cherry compote, cassis reduction, flavored wood, and hot oak on the tail end. This has a decent mouthfeel and its balance of acid, fruit, and tannin is fair enough, but I'm not a huge fan of the oaky, tired flavor profile. To me this tastes like anything else from Napa or CA for that matter, and I'm not really sensing the least bit of depth, terrior or just plain ol' character. The body is medium-full. The mid-palate does not droop. The finish is medium to medium+ in length. And the score is 86 points. Even at $20, I wouldn't buy this again. And on a day of giving many monies, a day leaving me to feel I've been made a royal chump, this wine didn't help any. And finally, yes, if I had a tardis handy, I probably would hock back to warn myself against buying a quad of these.
Update (from day3): My hopes have comes true, after two days suctioned in a decanter, this is showing much better for me. Nose of melted skittles (minus the lemon) and milk chocolate whoppers that follow through, both, on the open palate. The spicy oak has thankful diminished, and this is now enjoyable enough to drink a few glasses. Still a bit cloying though, I could use a purer fruit base. 84 pts. - day1 and 88 pts. - day2.
