This is a delicious Paso Cab. Inky dark garnet in the glass, it has a really lovely and smooth river of flavor from fore to aft that is gently caressed by a velvet glove of tannins on the back third. Notes of violet, cassis, blueberry, and mocha intermingle on the nose and palate. There's a slight off note on the otherwise lovely lingering finish that is reminiscent of acetone, but it is very sight, and I think it will diminish with some decanting.
Day 2 It's improved with time sitting in the bottle. The slight acetone note is gone, the flavors have clarified, grown, and then twined together exceptionally well into a delicious finish that lingers long. Adding a couple points which puts it into CT's "Outstanding' range.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab with blackberry, black cherry, some cocoa and spice on finish, a good value. www.winelx.com

deep purple, medium/long legs, aromas aromas of black cherry, garrigue, & cassis; flavor of same with slight touch of cassis; medium tannins and acid, modest finish; new world wine not my style with manufactured sweet mid palate flavor and medium length dry, unpleasant after taste; 85-90 if you like new world; 70-75 if you don't = 80

This is everything a good Cali Cab should be. I was really surprised at how good it was; usually the wines I receive as Christmas gifts are mediocre at best. But not this one. A whiff of cassis and spice on the nose. Very dark color. On the palate, this wine displays excellent depth and a nice balance of dark fruit, acidity, and earthiness. Finishes smoothly. Quite dry, fairly austere in character. Perfect wine to drink with a juicy steak, but tasty enough to drink on its own. Highly recommend.

Tasted at a restaurant in poor glassware so that may have affected the nose of the wine. Perfectly respectable paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. No noticable flaws but very forgettable.

Solid core of black fruit on the nose. Smells more like Napa than Paso. Coco powder and good solid tannins. None of the grapey Paso-ness to the wine. I'd thoroughly think it was.

I liked this Cabernet. It’s got good cassis upfront. The density is nice and so is the sweetness. It’s a fruit forward wine in IMO. I get some vanilla and stewed plums on the taste profile. Ignore the price tag and just rate what you taste. Good effort from where I’m sitting…

Met my expectations, dark fruit, decent structure, good balance. Yes there's oak influence and it fits in well as a prototypical Paso Cab.

While the fruit comes across nicely in the wine, it wasn’t at all crisp and dry.

More black fruited than the typical Paso purple fruit on it. And more structure on it than Paso as well. Sweet black tannins to it.

Very Paso Robles. Oak, vanilla, and red fruit. Paid $16 a bottle by the case. Good deal but I’m underwhelmed and wishing I had less.
