Couple of hours of decant time, the nose is cherry and tar, with a palate that starts off with grippy tannins but mellows into something more silky, with a great balance of acidity. Complexity is beginning to develop, with more cellar time, several years, this will gain a point or two.

Consistent with previous notes. A wine that is being a bit difficult in opening up. Tasty. Grainy tannins, red fruits with a bit of currant. Also black tea and tar and bitterness. Good balance and complexity. Decent finish. Maybe Day 2 will see some improvement.

Opened for 30 minutes at a restaurant. Lovely clear red in color - no browning. Drinking perfectly right now - well balanced, soft tannins, long finish. Very happy that I have two more bottles!

Decanted for 2 hours, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Pretty closed down, red fruit - cherry, a little floral component, and cherry pie. Palate: Medium-full bodied, cherry cough syrup flavors up front with the tannins kicking in through the mid-palate and some tar flavors appearing in the back-end. Medium length finish of tart red fruit and tar. Enjoyable, but nearly as good as the first bottle consumed in May, 2010.

Definitely better after a two hour decant. The tannins are starting to soften, but it will be better in a couple of years. Great finish- i love this wine.

Decanted 30 minutes before first pour, consumed over an hour. Nose: Initially showed red fruit - raspberry and red currant with a slight floral aroma. Later a strong floral aroma, primarily rose, dominated. Palate: Medium bodied with red fruit flavors, well balanced, continued to improve over consumption period. Finish: Medium length with hints of tart red fruit that mellowed as time went by. This wine needed more air time, had we given this wine another hour or two I'm sure would have opened more and truly revealed what it was made of.

Opened and poured. Good upon opening, but the last glass two hours later was amazingly different and much better. I will open another bottle in a couple of weeks & rate this again after a two hour decant.

Same notes as my last bottle. Paired very well with grilled porterhouse steak. Love this wine.
