Tasted at a local shop with a winery rep from the family. Light to medium garnet. Pretty high tannin and acid. Seems structured to age a moderate amount of time. Nice mid weight texture but full of flavor. Classic traditional Barbaresco. Roses, cherry earthy with hints of tar. Medium long finish is the only current downside. Leans toward the elegant side of the spectrum. Probably best 8-20 years old.

Fantastic barbaresco - imagine this will get even better with time. I've preferred the produttori wines to this so far, but would never turn a bottle down.

An elegant Barbaresco. Lovely cherry-cranberry red color in the glass with mild red fruit aromas upon decanting. On the palate, complex and layered fruit flavor taste sensations with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Good acidity with smooth finish. This classic Barbaresco is very approachable….and ready to be enjoyed.

A classic Barbaresco from Piedmont. Rich red color (transparent) in the glass with luscious aromas of ripe cherries and raspberries with a hint of leather and tobacco. On the front of palate, lovely complex texture of the wine’s fruit flavors with extremely well-behaved tannins and acidity that is engaging at mid-palate through the finish. Balance and elegance of taste epitomize this wine.

Nose of camphor, cherries and pine needles. Full-bodied, this is quite tannic but they are of excellent quality. The palate is open and expansive until the tannin clamps down on the finish. This is lithe and elegant and shows the best qualities of the more feminine expression of Barbaresco. This needs 2-3 years minimum to shed some tannin and won't be at its best until age 10. Drink 2026-2035 93-95

Nose has a lot of layers, they wash over you. Warm red berries, floral underneath, a little leather. It seems different each sniff. Acid and tannins, but smooth. Finish lasts a while

Lay & Wheeler Italy Growers' Tasting: Brief notes: Very pale colour. Floral aromatics - almost a touch of cola. Big and intense, there's cherry fruit but also so much tannin and structure. Excellent.

This is a big masculine Barbaresco, lots of tannin, well balanced but less fruit than I was hoping for. 90/91
