Enjoyed after dinner with friends. It is a nice caramel color now, and had notes of dulce de leche, Granny Smith apple, and kiwi. I enjoyed in spite of not being a big fan of sweet dessert wines besides tawny ports.

DarK caramel colour. The flavours were spot on, with raisins, caramelised orange peel and burnt sugar in wonderful balance, all cleaned out by the wonderful acidity. Still drinking beautifully....

Not in love with this. Overt nose of brown sugar and caramel. The palate is kind of a soupy sweet melange of caramel, honey, brown sugar, molasses without much structure and balance. I may have let’s this mature too long.

Given the relatively short history of Canadian icewine (lets call it 30 years), as a frequent drinker I am always curious to judge the aging potential. Often times I get mixed results and this was one of this wines. At 10 years old, I thought it was already on the downtrend. Inniskillin has a great reputation and almost never puts out a bad icewine but this wine just isn't as great as some of the others out there. Nice medium brown, maple syrup color in the glass followed by the oft described candied fruit flavors, most prominent being apricot. The acidity is only medium, probably why I didn't score it a touch higher. A decent finish and length round out this solid, if not world-class, effort. The wine has definitely stopped evolving. Perhaps the vidal icewines age a little better than the rieslings.

Brandy golden like color. Peaches, apricots and whiff of honey on the nose. Very well balanced with a delectable sweet finish that stays with you for about 5 minutes, coating your mouth with its viscus texture. Honey, apricot, peach, pear, a touch of candied orange, some cooked raisins. Highly recommended. Day 2, even more integrated like it's sister wine the Vidal.

The aroma is dense and deep, with a distinctly stony quality to it. There is something almost buttery about it, with faint notes of creamy hazelnut liqueur playing off fresh apricot, pear, and orange tones.
It’s fresh and dense at the same times, with a thick, palate coating quality. There is something almost savory about this wine, a clear spiciness, and a dense stony quality about it. Peach and petrol, apricot and mango, pear and orange marmalade intertwine in a continually evolving flavor profile. This wine has excellent refinement and incredible depth.
Not as full in mouth as Sauternes, and not as complex as Royal Tokaji, still, this icewine is fuity/spicy, apricot and a touch of honey. Very smooth, and very long finish. Fun, just not as opulent, as some, but really, soooo goood.

A deep golden yellow in the glass. On the nose, pure aromas of peach, grapefruit and lime. Luscious palate balanced by fresh acidity. Lovely weight of fruit with mineral tones emerging.

Really nice after all these years. Turned a beautiful caramel color and gained nice caramel flavor with age.

Amazingly rich. Honeyed apricots, magnolia blossom, honneysuckkle, and a hint of smoke. Wow. Finish goes on forever.

Not enough acid to make it memorable or even noteworthy; horrific QPR, like the entire Inniskillin line-up

$24 by the glass at Capital Grill-Boston. Sweet, botrytized, peach, apricot nectar. Pleasant, but cloying and simple.

Less viscous than most eiswines, raisin, apricot with a bit of a tart tang. Still very low acidity. Not complex, not interesting, bad QPR IMO.

Delightful. Not overwhelmingly sweet. Some apricots. Paired well with foie gras.

Trip to Niagara; 5/1/2009-5/2/2009 (Niagara on the Lake, Canada): Tasted the oak-aged and non-oaked aged versions side by side. Almost no difference as they used a minute amount of oak aging.
