    Nose: medium intensity, secondary, youthful. Red and black plum, blackberry jam, strawberry jam, cassis. Tomato juice, Tabasco? Tomato leaf. Cedar, cinnamon, pepper, liquorice root.
    Palate: dry, medium(-) acidity, medium(+) tannins, high alcohol (14%), medium(+) bodied. Medium intensity, medium length finish. Red and black plum, blackberry jam, strawberry jam, cassis. Tomato juice. Tomato leaf. Cedar, cinnamon, pepper, liquorice root.
    Conclusions: good. (Could be very good, but lacks a little complexity.) Can drink now, but suited to further short term ageing. P&P (pop&pour), not decanted. Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.

    DAY 2: hasn't moved at all. Maybe more tomato than Day 1, but that's it.

  • I've had some good wines from Yarden, but this one wasn't a winner. A blend of primarily Cab Sauv and Merlot with a bit of Cab Franc. Decanted a bit over an hour, drank over 2+.

    Right now this is drinking heavy with a ton of smoke and wood, and not much fruit. Might be better in a few years, but I'm not grabbing another to wait. Had this on its own, but it also might drink better with some heavy meat dish.
