Aromas offer a blend of black and red fruit with sweet spicy notes, presenting a medium-minus intensity.
On the palate, medium-plus tannins and acidity provide structure. The wine is juicy with ripe black and red fruit flavors, accompanied by spiciness and a lingering mocha-like aftertaste. The finish is long.
Excellent wine.

This wine is so amazing and unique. Color is deep ruby red. Smell is peppers with slight hint of jalapeños. Taste is BIG, bell peppers, hint of spice, and absolutely delicious. This wine could pair with so many food options as well. In a world where France and California Cabs are King its great to explore what other regions are producing. Don't live in a box, explore and enjoy wines like this Purple Angel.

Opened another bottle, removing a point. Trust me, this is a really good wine and I stand by everything I said in my past tasting note. Only reason I liked it a point less is that I think that due to it's young age, it might be a touch out of balance. But that will come together soon (5-10 years). Tasting notes were: dark purple color, latin spice, pepper on nose along with some plum and blackberries. Palate had green pepper, some fresh herbs, black and purple fruits, spices, pepper, vanilla and a touch of dark chocolate. And a medium finish. Overall a very great wine and one of my favorites from Chile!

Decanted 3-4 hours as others recommended. The wine is a approachable and enjoyable now. I would be interested to try this again 5, 10 and 15 years down the road. It has the stuffing for sure.
Distinctive nose of Colchagua valley with all the minerality, petrol, and other savory elements you’d expect on top of dense, layers of blueberry and other deep, dark fruits.
Reminds me a lot of Vina Vik from the area. Would like to compare against the Millahue and top wine to see relative value here. I think this is good value in $70-80 range but its a unique style of wine that isn't easily comparable to Napa, Bordeaux, etc.
Oinorama Wine Fair 2023; 3/4/2023-3/6/2023 (Zappeio): High intensity, beautiful fragrant, green bell pepper, spicy, palate showing juicy tannins, medium to full body, black fruit, coffee, chocolate, long finish

2 hour decant and drank for another 4 hours afterwards (we had 3 bottles to see its evolution over an evening with Korean BBQ smoked wagyu ribs. The wine was delicious and paired perfectly with the dish holding its own against the strong Asian flavors and the smoke. Nose was green with dark fruits, smoke and Latin spices following into the taste. Bell Peppers, Black Pepper prunes and a lot more depth and complexity than I was expecting. Time to get a case, really curious how they change with age.

All day decant....it needs it Royal purple in color, full bodied. Stewed dark fruits. Plum preserves. Hint of mint, and touxh of smokiness. Cigar box. Wine is sticky, thick, syrupy, and unctuous. Loads of the dark fruit. Dry, and tannins are evident. Medium finish. An interesting taste profile. I like it, but it seems somewhat one dimensional to me. Was hoping for more.
Home made Dino-Bones for dinner tonight...baked potato and string beans by Britt. So damn good.

Tasted at a charity tasting event sponsored by a large NJ retailer. I was told this is a blend of Carménère and Petit Verdot. It is dense and a saturated opaque garnet color. While seemingly slightly "green" it also exhibits some nicely complex layers of various dark berries and fruit with a spicy layer as well. Shows potential but is also not inexpensive from this producer. The difference showed versus the other very reasonably priced brethren I tasted just before.

Already drinks well but could age a few more years. Opens up nicely over 3-4 hours. Some smoke, jam, red fruits. Medium tannins and acidity. A hint of bitterness. A very good wine.

Great wine that deserves its heavenly name. Big, bold example of how good carmenere can be when made behind the pearly gates.

Beautiful, distinct blackberry aroma with notes of vanilla and cedar. Just a wonderful wine. Great clarity of fruit on the palate. Very well balanced.
