Really a superb west coast Chardonnay truly made in a Burgundian style. A year has softened the reduction here and this wine is now delivering on all cylinders with succulent acidity and classy lemon/lime and apple fruit. The finish is complex and tingly not unlike a top village Meursault or Santenay Premier Cru with excellent verve and freshness. Yum.

Had this along with a bunch of other wines at an excellent Abruzzo restaurant in Philly. I typically do not like oaky chards but this was different. Still trying to understand the nose of sweet oak with a flowery element. It had some apple and other fruits notes as well . Overall drank great.

I thought the 2020 chards from Willamette were supposed to be opened early, but I guess “early” is relative and may not apply to WS’s chards. Super flinty and smoky from the reduction. Too much for me at this stage. Probably could wait 5+ years on this one.

It had a bit of that flinty nose which I like. The palate was rather simple, which would be fine as an entry-level wine, but sadly they over-oaked this IMHO.

A strong note of reduction here that softens with air but doesn't disappear. Quite elegant and Burgundian in style with fairly rich white peach and green apple fruit and plenty of succulent acidity. The finish is tingly and complex with notes of spearmint and minerals. Well done and should improve as the reduction fades. 91+

Crisp, clean, Chablis-like. New world oak on the nose. Agree with previous comments about reduction & struck match. Dissipated over time though. Great core of acidity and fruit. Medium+ finish.

Beautiful wine made in an intense, Burgundian style with the right touch of reduction at this early stage. So much better the second day with the delicious lemon/lime flavors fanning out and the finish growing more succulent and complex with notes of limestone rock and smoky minerals. This is shockingly good for the price-point and I'd love to see how this would perform in a blind white Burg tasting. Can be drunk now with plenty of air but it should be really good with another couple of years on it. 92+

Really well done Chardonnay in a Burgundian style. Rich lemony fruit is balanced by good succulent acidity along with notes of struck match and smoky toasted oak. The finish is grippy and very complex already with a lovely residue of pine resin. Reductive still but it's starting to dissipate. From my favorite producer in Oregon. 92+

Another Berserker Day purchase. I had the 2018 last night, and this is not as harmonious right now. More reductive on the nose and lemony/citrus on the palate. Just a little too "shrill" at this point, but that is something that will probably cease to be an issue with more time in the bottle.
But I don't want to sound overly negative here - this can be enjoyed now (and I am), but I think it will be better in another 6-12 months.

Crisp Chard that went well with Prawns in a tomato sauce. Just enough oak and steel to give this a great balance. Could wait on the last bottle.
