Very beautiful nose with a mushroom, raspberry, and smoked meat almost syrah-like character. Great acidity but lacks some of the complexity of fruit that the limited production version of this wine has. I found myself pouring small glasses, experiencing that explosion of perfume every time I poured. A very pleasurable wine that I am confident will be good for 5-7 more years. Drink up now if you wish and stock up on the limited production for aging. Overall: 91+

Young and fruit forward. Nose of red and black berries. Rounded, medium bodied palette. Some firm tannins on the first few glasses but softened over time. Good acidity. Quite sweet, without much tertiary elements at this stage. Medium length, with a little warmth. Good value in the context of Burgundy and worth trying again with a little more time in the bottle.

Beautifully bright and aromatic, dark cherry, plum, violets, a nice cooling menthol note. Tons of stoney minerality. More structure than I was expecting from this area. This has a massive frame work for a Santenay, and a nice long life ahead of it. The finish goes on and on. I’m usually a purist when it comes to wine and food pairings, would usually reach for a Bordeaux from the left bank for our rack of lamb dinner, but I’m feeling with the Dijon mint crust on the outside, this may just be a home run pairing. One of the top premier crus in Santenay.

Got a glass here now after a 1 hour decant. I am not a big Burgundy drinker, but this is good! The nose is woodsy, floral, vegetal and strawberry; very expressive nose for sure. I am trying to nail this down and I get lightly bitter green undertones on a nearly ripened strawberry palate, with plums, and I also get a hint of vanilla tea. The tannins are very present, and the tongue is coated with soft acidity. I would drink this again.
