On the palate, the wine is elegant, forward, vibrant and refined with a touch of juicy plums in the finish, You can enjoy The wine was made from blending 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, 13.1% ABV. Drink from 2023-2035. 91-93

En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Medium plus intensity aromas of violet, plum before oak starts kicking my nose off my face. With agitation there is a certain wild ferment funkiness (though I’m sure this is just my bruised nose playing tricks) and some blackcurrant. Juicy acidity, savoury, chewy, chalky, oaky tannins rather dominate (unsurprisingly) and there is a touch of alcohol warmth on the finish. Nope.

No notes due to 400 wines at EP. This is up there as a top second wine of the vintage. While clearly a step down from the grand vin, it was a well made enjoyable wine that will provide enjoyment while waiting for the grand vin. Could be a buyer, price depending.
