  • Elegant, silky, refined, vibrant, and almost crisp, this mini Cheval Blanc is already simply gorgeous with its bouquet of flowers, cigar box, mint, cherries, plums, and spice. The wine blends its silky-refined textures with freshness, lift, and purity in its energetic, red berry-packed finish. The wine blends 60% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc. The high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend defines the wine. You can enjoy this on release and for at least the next 15 years. Drink from 2024-2040.

  • (92-94 vvPunkte) 7% Cabernet Franc, 60% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, pH 3.6. Leuchtendes Rubin.

  • This is a true baby Cheval Blanc, The reason is simple. Some of the Cabernet Sauvignon lots placed in Cheval Blanc in 2018, 2019 and 2020 were included in this wine. The wine kicks off with flowers, espresso, chocolate, red plums and spice. But it is on the palate, which is slightly similar to Cheval Blanc where the wine shows its character. Supple, and fresh, the wine finishes with loads of silky-textured, sweet fruits. The wine blends 60% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc, making this the highest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon ever used in the history of the estate. 13.1% ABV. Drink from 2022-2035. 91-93

  • En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Medium minus intensity initially, plums over black currant, slight vanilla and red berries, a little sweet spice, touch of leafiness and a lifted perfume aromatic quality. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity but integrated, a melange of black fruits. Lovely but tight tannic profile, persistent, floury textured, fruit persist, long. Balanced. Pretty clever.

  • No notes due to 400 wines at EP. While I love Cheval and many times the Petit, the sample I tasted seemed to be missing more of the middle and the overall greatness typically found in this 2nd wine. Will the wine improve with more time- perhaps.
